Pre-Incan Metallurgy Discovered

I thought this was an interesting discovery. Researchers (including one from my alma mater ) have discovered metallurgy in the Andes dating to 1000 A.D, which is apparently earlier than any found in that region so far.

I am always amazed at some of the things that previous civilizations have been discovered to have known. Every time I read of something like this, I always have to stop and wonder what else is there that we haven't found, yet?

I'm not that surprised, given the artistically complex designs they created for jewelry. It made sense that they picked it up from another culture that they blended into.
