Has anyone considered that there may be reusable orbital vehicals other than the shuttel working in secret? Just wondering because i was reading some other web page the other day that was saying something like this?
By the way this is a great web sight!

Sure there are. There are even non-secret reusable orbital vehicles projects.

Take the X-37/ X-40 project for example.

If you stretch the definition of "orbital vehicle"

Spacelab and various satellites that are carried up and returned by the space shuttle... also, MMUs (the manoeuvring backpack for shuttle astronauts).

But for things that fly up and come down again, it's hard to say. I don't know what's become of other reusable boosters, like Kistler Aerospace's resuable two-stage rocket or the Roton.

There are quite a few vehicles in the works that meet the criteria for being re-useable.
Have a look for anything linked in with the NASA run X-Prize

Question: Is the Soyuz Spacecraft orbital modue reusable?

keywords:

Hypersonic Testbed Program

Hypersonic Flying Test Beds

HFTB

Dyna-Soar

NASA, being a public relations front for the military black-op space program, pretends these vehicles are still under development. The USAF is probably already using this spaceplane from Area51. This would be the first space vehicle to take off and land like a conventional airplane. Just like the movie 2001

The Dyna-Soar was a USAF program in the 1950's that was canceled, and no the Soyuz is not resusabl;e its basically the Russain answer to the old Apollo sapcecraft and was designed originally to go to the moon.

The Soyuz 7K-L1 spacecraft was the USSR's answer to the Apollo program (the baseline Soyuz spacecraft wasn't designed for lunar missions).
