Pet food tainting might be Intentional

This theory is being pursued by the FDA. I know that pet food is not regulated by the FDA, but anytime the FDA is involved in anything, I get suspicious. This is all starting to look like a coverup to me.

WASHINGTON - Imported ingredients used in recalled pet food may have been intentionally spiked with an industrial chemical to boost their apparent protein content, federal health officials suspect.

That’s one theory being pursued by the Food and Drug Administration as it investigates how the chemical, melamine, contaminated at least two ingredients used to make more than 100 brands of dog and cat foods.

At this point, no one should be feeding pet foods to their pets (or any other animal or human for that matter). Preparing a well-balanced meal for them with healthy human-grade food is best for them. Just make sure you add the right supplements. Nutritional requirements for cats is more complex than for dogs.

Intentional or not, it affected my buddy Rocki.

We caught it early, due to his not eating and high intake of water.
He preferred gravy over grub. Was highly odd.

After a night at the vet and a regimen of special grub, he's back to his
old Rocki self.

The company that produced the food we fed him seems to be cooperating,
and all I'm asking is to reimburse the vet bill.

Anyway, sorry for rambling.
