So far my current plans are to start in Portugal, buy a ticket for the eurorail or whatever it is called, go to Spain, then France, then Germany, then end in the Netherlands. Anyone suggest what I can do along the way, or if I should try out some other places as well.

You can probably fit in Switzerland there between Germany & France. I think those mountain villages like around the Interlaken area are some of the most beautiful places in the world.

What about England? I was considering it, but I've heard that London and England in general is very expensive, and I want to conserve as much money as I can.
