Who do you look up to? Why do you look up to them? Here's my list in no particular order.

Richard P. Feynman-He won a Nobel Prize in physics and discovered why the Shuttle Challanger exploded, he also worked at Los Alamos on the first A-bomb. Along the way, he had he had quite an interesting trip and proved that, scientists aren't boring.

Rodney Dangerfield-He's the funniest guy ever. He has a permenent place in American culture. At 81 he can out show any contemporary comedian and will continue to be talked about long after his death.

Stan Lee-Creative genius behind many great characters in comics. Spiderman, The X-men, The Fantastic Four, The Hulk and more, much like tales of Robin Hood and King Arther, will still be remembered hundreds of years from now.

Jack Kirby-(see: Stan Lee)

Kevin Smith-Showed the world that, a life of monotany can still be entertaining.

I'm sure that there's more but, I just can't think of them right now.

Maynard James Keenan, but not in the idol worshipping way, he's just helped me open up my mind through his music.

Alex Grey, his art is awe inspiring. Something about it just grabs me, and makes me feel that everything is alright, I don't know why but it just does, by far my favorite Artist.

Shinobi - If only I could be a ninja.

That's pretty much my list right there. Except I wouldn't call them idols, just people I admire. There are other people that I admire in my life but since nobody knows them, no sense in saying them here.

So my idols change like I change channels...

Total Gen X pop culture victim here.

So among those with staying power (I admit)...

Jimmy Carter, Elvis and/or Paul McCartney and Sid Vicious

The ones I don't admit? Sarah Michelle gellar (Buffy)
David Duchovney (duh) and Bill Shatner (THE MAN!)

But I'll deny those in public.

Were I not so shallow, I'd say Joss Whedon, Chris Carter and Gene Roddenberry...but again... Idiot here.

RANT, can I share in your Bill Shatner love? "Hey....Mr.....TAMBOURINE MAN" He's up there with Ricardo Montalban in my book, although Leonard Nimoy recorded some pretty fine albums himself.

As for people I truly admire (I hesitate to call them 'idols'):

Anne Frank - had an insight into human emotions well beyond her years

Ryan White - a fellow Hoosier, had a big effect on me as a kid in school

Walter Payton - the only pro athlete worthy, imo

Kurt Cobain - had plenty of faults, but changed the way I listen to music

Lady Jane Grey - nine days queen of England

Mr. Rogers - taught me that I'd never go down the drain

About my own idols...I don't know, there's too many people I admire to name them all...So I'll just say any artists (martial or musical) who succeeded at doing something more than others, or who did it before any other artists.

Oh yeah and...Elvis will always be the King.

Mick Foley - One of the greatest wrestlers to ever walk the eart. A true gentleman and a damn good worker. Took the best bumps in the biz.

Willie Nelson - Do I have to list a reason here?

Myself - Cause I'm that damn good and that's been my catchphrase longer than Triple H has been Paul LaVesque's gimmick.

My husband.... He is the perfect mix when it comes to personality.

He's smart, yet a smart ass, he's goofy, and hardcore, yet simple and sweet. He makes sense out of the obvious logic when others have a hard time taking notice, and has life figured out to a tee.

Moviestars?

Madonna--- She is one hard working, smart ass lady, makes great music, adapts well, and just doesn't give a #. Ok, well maybe sometimes she does, but for the most part, she's wicked.

Britney Spears-- She's hot and rich. Can't sing worth a crap but makes oodles of money selling her sex appeal.
Wish I could do that.

Eddie Murphy----- One funny ass dude.
George Carlin----- 3 words------- your all diseased.

And me. why? Cuz i'm creative and I love my ideas.

Scooter Ward (Cold vocalist)

His music has helped me through alot, when you've been through what i have, music like that really helped. The music helped me get away from daily life and it helped me to get a lot of things of my chest.

Joe Montana, he didn't let the lack of spectacular talent keep him from winning 4 Superbowls. Coolest cat to play the sport.

George Carlin, not only a funny guy but one of the great thinkers of our time.

My skateboarding idol: Rudney Mullen

I have a video file of him that any skateboarder or skateboarding fan should see. Hell, you should watch it even if you don't like or hate skateboarding. This guy is simply sick. I finally managed to upload it somewhere. It's a bit complicated to get the file, but believe me, it's worth it. Just watching the video makes me want to cry because I'm so bad at skateboarding...

Here's how to get it.

Go to
www.i2drive.com...

Login with

Click on "Open my l(2) Drive 1"
Highlight the rodney mullen movie, and then click on "download" in the toolbar at the top.

Enjoy.
