As a direct consequence of the multiple air strikes inflicted upon Somalia this week, supposedly in the name of killing Al-Qaeda operatives, the Bush administration is helping bring back to power the savage warlords that were behind the "Black Hawk down" fiasco in 1993 where U.S. troops were killed and dragged through the streets in celebration.

How can we fund such savages, people that kept a nation in turmoil for over 15 years through bloody conflict and civil war, raping and killing innocent women and children.

a U.S. intelligence official said American forces killed five to 10 people in an attack on one target in southern Somalia believed to be associated with al Qaeda. The official, who spoke on condition of anonymity because of the operation's sensitivity, said a small number of others present, perhaps four or five, were wounded.

A Somali lawmaker said 31 civilians, including a newlywed couple, died in Tuesday's assault by two helicopters near Afmadow. A Somali Defense Ministry official described the helicopters as American, but witnesses told The Associated Press they could not make out identification markings on the craft. Washington officials had no comment on the helicopter strike.

So really whats going on here is, the "Islamic" leaders who came into Somalia, brought peace and civil rights to the people of Somalia, are now suspected of harbouring terrorists? Their plea to the world to stop the killing of innocent civilians ignored.

It is never possible to gain the confidence the population while killing and intimidating them. The government should bring the killing of innocent civilians to a halt

This is 2 months later and now their acknowledging the Warlords as their Government?

Its obvious that American intelligence and supply was required for such drastic actions, but I mean they toppled a none threatening governing body in a matter of months, and in return brought caos back into Somalia.

Again raping and killing women and children, forcing thousands to flee their homes and find shelter in neighboring countries. All the while American news outlets such as Fox News are encouraging these attacks for these suspected Al-Qaeda members. The word of definition here being "Suspected." Not proven terrorists such as the ones we're currently funding who killed 18 American soldiers in 1993.

Where is the justice? Not only for the 18 American lives lost in 1993, but for the almost 3,000 lives lost in Somalia since early January and the lives that haven't been added up yet.

Im not even going to get into what this means for Oil tycoons in the west, cause its more than obvious.

Look at what happened in Rwanda thanks to foreign nations including the USA who turned their back on them STRAIGHT OFF THE BAT! Retired General Romeo Daelair made a movie about it (Canadian, UN general put in charge during the Rwanda genocide) and it is called: Shaking hands with the devil: Journey to Rwanda. Read his book or watch the movie, it will show you just how LITTLE the international "community" cares about poor people.
Watch the movie: Sir No Sir!
Through that you will get more Vietnam stories over halfway through of just how barbaric and outright evil the US military is. Skinning a woman... yeah real pleasant. My Lai... need not say more. Oh well I will: over 1 million Vietnamese killed OUTRIGHT and Agent Orange kills them even today, the genocide still goes on and more blood is being added every day.
We have Chile, El Salvador, Mexico (Chiapas, Zapatista resistance fighters who try and stop the US and Mexico corporations and armies) then we have Honduras, Columbia, and on and on and on, oh and Venezuela. Just watch Bill Moyers: The Shadow Government which was made in 1987.

To think that what you just posted is the whole world is a joke, it goes FAR deeper and has been going on for a V-E-R-Y L-O-N-G time. It would be interesting to see a list of casualties caused by US "intervention" from around the world and if the war is still raging or people are still dying as a result add them too. Hitler would be ASHAMED. The US has gotten away with what he NEVER could have let alone Stalin or Mao.

This has always been the way with America. So long as there are no immediate risks to their actual homeland (there never are) then they can afford to take risks overseas. For this reason, they are willing to help out a small country, if they believe it will benefit them in the future. And if it doesn't work out, they'll roll on over them.

During the 40's, American servicemen helped train an Indochine force called the Viet Minh, to help them oust the Japanese out of Vietnam, which they did. Twenty years later and the Americans see that their attempts to have Vietnam are falling to Communism, so they go in heavy. Only to discover that the Viet Minh, under direction of General Giap, have now became the Viet Cong. And so starts the Vietnam war.

During the 80's, the CIA help train the Muhajideen in Afghanistan, to stop the Soviets from gaining control of the wonderful poppy plants that grow there, aswell as a place in the Middle East. The Muhajideen prevail, a professional fighting force already, now armed with dirty ol' CIA tactics. Thirty years later, America decides it wants Afghanistan off of the Taliban, evidently business deals went sour. And who is still to this day killing American troops? The remanants of the Muhajideen.

Similar things have been seen in South America, Africa and the Middle East, usually business related, ultimately violent.

America is a business. It's people are a currency. The rest of the world is profit.
