North Korea is next

Well I don't know how much of a prediction this is but, a friend of mine in the service had to all of a sudden pick up and leave. All he said is that something is going to happen soon. He of course could and would not ellaborate, but he will be sitting in a submarine off the coast of S. Korea(I belive) awaiting orders. I think in the next coming months we will get heavily involved with N Korea. Why is all these things happening around Election time. Coincidence? I think not.

EDIT- by the sound of his voice i dont think it was anything routine. He Sounded like he was scared SH**LESS.

Well Subs leave for the korea's all the time, they sit in the bay and stick up their ESM mast and listen to the chatter of the north korean forces!

But what if this time the subs will contain nuclear warheads and an unprecedented attack will occur, from US, in fear that N. Korea would do it first anyway. We'll then come up with a story that N. Korea threatened us or something and we had "intelligence" on it and were forced to retaliate, which will be a lie. WWIII baby! In Bush's own words: "Yeeeeehaw!!"

I don't think the US is in the position to mess with North Korea. They're smart enough to realize that, at least.

North Korea poses no threat to us at this moment...they are trying to work things out with us. If we do anything we will most likely just bomb the hell out of em.

Doesn't really matter, you could hit em with an ICBM and they still wouldnt know what hit em.

which is exactly what we said about Iraq before we bombed the hell out of them. all we need is an excuse

If the US invades NK,they will loose the war terribly.

We're not going to invade, we're going to bomb them. Bush is just waiting to see how his polls for the next election will come along before he makes the decision.

North Korea is much less than they have been 'built up' to be in the left leaning press of the world.

The only fear in the first world is the weak soft and overfed stomachs whining about war dead if anything of substance happens over there.

Otherwise I think it would be a route frankly.

Most of all no one has any idea if North Korea can make their crude bombs even work.

If the US invades NK,they will loose the war terribly.

They were unsuccesful in their last missile test in 1998 and haven't really done much since. The only operational missiles they have are the Scuds which only have a range of 500km.

Do you know what city your friend stayed in before? What was his MOS? What does he think about his s.korean counterparts? How did you contact him did you talk over the phone or were you in korea at the time?

He was living in Philly. Received orders, and left. I didn't get a chance to talk to him about it, not that he would disclose any information. So I personally have no idea about any of the questions you asked. Thats all I know and was told. And it looks like things could be escalating(I could be wrong and I hope I am)
