www.cnn.com...

NASA is claiming that they accidentally disabled the solar panels on the mars probe and human error is the culprit for its dissapearance. Does anyone else find this hard to believe? Official contact with the probe was lost last November shortly after receiving some of the best and most stunning pictures of the Mars surface we have ever seen. I for one am cannot believe that someone could be stupid enough to disable the solar panels on the probe.

It wouldn't be the first time something was lost due to an idiot mistake. There have been MANY plane crashes caused by stupidity, and several probe mishaps caused by simple mistakes. I wouldn't be surprised in the least to find out that they trying to do something else and accidentally disabled them.

Mabye it could just be a reason to not release any more photographs or data from the lander...could it be that they had discovered something too large and went to investigate it, and many of the pictures exposed what is actually happening on Mars?
