Alright, I can see why you can say that. Is it because of the strenuous heat it will go through? Can you clear that up for me?

An ICBM is basically a space vehicle that has to reenter the atmosphere. Any time you do that, you generate massive amounts of heat from the friction of entering the atmosphere.

Zaph,
sorry you did indeed mention cruise missile's so yes that was TWO mention's in 25 my mistake

Blackwidow,
Thankyou for setting the record straight on the TopolM and supercavitating torpedoes (Skval), you took the words right out of my mouth. ALL ICBM RV's are travelling at multi KM/sec speeds in the terminal phase, not just Topol. As for the torps, I think our poster was getting confused with the hot gas generator type system used to creat a "bubble" around the torpedo nose to lower its drag coefficient. As you said its not plasma. Your also right to question the "Russian tech is better" statement, if its so good then why doesnt it perform better in combat? Yep, check your fact's young Padawan learner!

And speaking of false facts I should point out that I TOO mislabled the AGM-129 as the "86". So thats TWO mistakes by me in one post

LEE.
