Taking Bets: Will the MER's Spirit and Opportunity be successful or suffer the same fate as Beagle?

The first of the MER's is due to land January 3, 2004 and the second is due to land January 24, 2004. What do you guys think will be the result of the two landers? Will they be successful? Will Aliens Destroy them in space? Will we just lose contact with them because of a conspriacy to cover up the fact that life exsists on Mars?

Or will the black out continue or will the aliens shoot it down?

Or is there still something going on on Mars that our genius scientists haven't figured out yet?

But since we had landed a probe in the past successfully on Mars I tend to doubt there are unknown environmental surprises unless of course Mars is undergoing changes like the earth is.

I bet at least one of them will be successful. It would be great if our space agencies came out and told the world our there is concrete evidence of life on Mars.
