Whether or not she actually is psychic is really of no importance to me.
However, the fact of the matter is (as I see it), is that she takes advantage of those who genuinely seek her help, prays on their grieving and/or fears, and charges obscene amounts of money for her sessions.
If it's not criminal, it damn near borderlines on immoral.

Oh, um...hmmm...just a little bit off topic. Sorry.

So, 2009 huh?

Sylvia is so fake. In my opinion that is....

however, she does have a lot of people who take every word she says serious... so....

Yeah, so did Jim Jones. And Hitler to an even larger extent.

I agree that she is a fraud. And this is coming from a former believer. I actually bought her act when I first saw her on Montel and looked forward to every episode she was on. Supposedly she even told Montel that he had M.S. Of course she also told the parents of that kidnapped boy that he was dead, only to have him turn up alive a few months ago and the captor looked completely different from Sylvia's description.

Even if she is legit, which I doubt, she is a mean and arrogant woman. She has ZERO people skills or at least makes no effort to use them. I've seen her tell people the most heart-breaking things without the slightest attempt at sugar-coating it or trying to make them feel better. It's almost as though she prefers telling bad news instead of good.

Well,

Reading through www.stopsylviabrowne.com..., it seems she makes readings on the phone for about $700 or more an hour. If you think about that she could quite easily do what 10 a day, 5 days a week ($35K) - on top of that TV shows and stuff. Quite a lot of money if you ask me!

Also read about the boy who went missing, she told the parents he was dead, yet was found alive later:

www.stopsylviabrowne.com...

Why should I believe the aliens will arrive in 2009 if she 'predicts' it? Just another charleton I believe, making A LOT of money whilst putting others in anguish and lightening their wallets.

Take care and peace,
- Naz

Yeah, I was reading articles from that site as well, and I was thinking (which I tend to do on occasion, yeah, I know...nasty habit
)
If there are indeed aliens coming to town in 2009, they're probably coming to see her, although, they probably just want to borrow some of her ill-gotten money.

That woman, she should be ashamed of herself.

(although, this thread seemed to have gone from alien prediction to sylvia browne bashing in record time....oh well, when in Rome
)

Ohhh, so Sylvia's talking aliens now???

Dont beleive a word she says. She's a fraud.

I knew she'd rear her ugly head with another "tune"....she's been caught in too many lies.

Dude, he said 'aleins', not Aliens.

The Aleins are guys who quaff the lager at home.

The Aliens are little Grey guys who quaff the human juice out of Vats buried deep below the Archuleta Mesa.

HTH, (LOL)

Well I prefer to do like one person did:
Pick up her predicitions and state the exact opposite:
So since she is prediciting that aliens will show up in 2009, then my prediction is that it will not happen.

That would be the good guys, then.

I certainly hope they beat the indifferent, torturing, seducers with offers of grand powers to the punch.

That was an interesting Dreamland. The one with the lawyer who claimed his alien friends offered him special powers, but that it was corrupting. How quickly the beyond reproach abductee clarified that his implant was different. Even though he invited government people to the cabin at the Gray's request, who were subsequently 'downloaded'. But hey, they were bad people. (February 17, 2007 - 12:53 am: Whitley Stieber post 150, Unknown Country cabin thread)

He does like to chime on about his special powers.

He claims one of his special powers, in addition to the ability to fly and astral project at will, is the ability to recall all his past lives. One of which was as an inquisitor.

Some things never change....
