I may seem like I overreact sometimes (this is not about the chat) but I really am not. I am a responsible, young adult, and I apologize for anyone who may have been taken me as overreacting to other people. When someone is literally attacking me and insulting me for what I believe in and is comparing me to things which, of course, is not what I am like, I get angry. I apologize if it may seem like I overreact, but all I really do is get a lot more feisty and it gets to me.

Sometimes I feel like though it was planned and it was set up so that I would get framed so that people would think that I am getting really angry but when i am not. I just feel that some people don't really understand me sometimes... so what should I do?

Would I be able to change their point of views? Will I be able to change what they think about me? I am talking about ATS and not any other forum. What should I do if this problem persists.

I'm just confused.

Can someone help me?

Yes, before anyone says "If you are confused then don't post here" I am not confused generally but some people have confused me, and I made less quality posts when they did confuse me and I let it get to me when I shouldn't have.

I just feel like this sometimes on ATS, that I am left out.

I am not complaining, but wondering what I should do.

Honestly, we all need to help ourselves before anyone can help us. The answer to your problems lie within your own post. What other members say "should" not upset you. They have an opinion, you have an opinion, we all have opinions. What I may feel is the truth on something, you may consider to be a blatant disregard for the obvious facts, and I could be showing complete bias. Understanding this can allow for civility to overcome in our discussions, and make for a better environment for all of us.

Why would you ever think that someone was out to get you? Do you honestly think that some members have made it their own agenda to persecute you? I fail to see why anyone would ever want to do that. We are all here on our own accord. I signed up to discuss the issues and understand through reading the point of view of others. I suspect that most others are here for the same reason. Not to engage other members and have them break the rules. I think it is safe to say that you can rest easy and no members are "out to get you".

Left out of what? This community has 100,000+ members. We see something like 300+ new people sign up every day. At any given moment of the day, we see something like 5000+ visitors browsing our pages. Left out? If you feel left out of something, I suspect you may be here for the wrong reasons. I'm not sure why anyone would ever feel left out.

I understand that your not complaining, it has been mentioned. But why do you insist on having others tell you what to do? Why not do what your head tells you what to do? Nobody can tell you what to do, unless you are breaking the Terms & Conditions, then the staff can intervene and request that you respect the standards we have for our posts. But other than that, you are the judge of your own behaviours. Having others tell you what to do, when to do it, and how to do it is a little scandalous in my opinion.

Rather than trying to change the world, why not look within and simply try to better yourself by looking at issues from a perspective that you never fathomed previously. I know since I signed up for Above Top Secret, I finally began to see issues from an angle that I never even understood existed. Looking at it from these points of view has offered a better understanding on so many things, and I am a better person for it. Don't try to change the world, just try to better yourself through listening, reading, discussing, and understanding.

I feel like this a lot, I actually feel that way a lot. Sometimes I feel like someone is making fun of me when they are trying to help me and ocassionally I take offense to when people on here have said that I haven't been making sense. Even though I made perfect sense and I spoke perfect English but they disliked what I posted, and they proceeded to say that (i.e my topic "I say we nuke Iran and North Korea, and or that user's post in my topic questioning the use of amendments, the user proceeded to tell me that "I didn't know what you're talking about."

I ocassionally feel like that myself. I don't really like it when someone is out to get me, in this specific instance I was referring to my last few days that I was spending in the chat, and then it seemed like ATS was out to get me, they said that they wanted to ban me, and ATS wouldn't believe me when I said that some other member insulted me.

I guess so. I just feel like saying what I want to say now because I have been forced to make excuses for some of my posts and recant some of my beliefs because someone didn't like it and I am saying that i am going to be sticking to them so people can either realize that they need to understand me or just that if they don't have anything nice to say to not say it at all. I understand people perfectly well, and I do have a tendency to be misunderstood.

Alright, thanks for the advice. I really appreciate it. And i listened to all of it.
