What Happened To The 'Views' Column?

Hey guys,
Whatever happened to the 'Views' columns? How does anyone get to know how many have viewed a particular thread? This did give an indication whether to open a particular thread or give it the go-by.

Flags are fine, but that isn't the only and true indicator of how popular a thread is. So is there a tech hitch or has it been done by design? If it's the latter, then I don't think it's a brilliant idea! Or have I missed something?

Do we get the column back or do we bid it a fond farewell?
