I'll save judgment on this until someone does a clearer analysis, but the NIST team
has used photos in a very deceptive way, like the
"buckling" photos from a distance, at an odd angle, through several hundred degrees of heat, where you can't even see the columns behind the
cladding. At the very least it leaves room for reasonable doubt, and is not solid evidence at all.
