I can't believe how many great people are on this site, offering to help me, or inspiring me to believe again, all the responses are really helping me, if all of you have faith, then there is hope for me,

Thomas Paine was a Deist. He believed in God, but he rejected all forms of organized religion including Christianity, Islam, etc. Instead, he opted to learn about God and communicate with him through observing nature, prayer, and meditation. He's a great philosopher and definitely one of America's most important founding fathers, but I disagree with him on a few topics. Mainly that he did not believe God manifested himself into physical form, but I do.

How did God manifest himself in phsical form when no=one can see or look at God, if you mean he manifested himself as Jesus, then you don't believe in the trinity, like Thomas Paine says every religion has their beliefs and their beliefs are the ones that are right............but what do you mean ?

I know this is off topic but what are points for? What purpose do they serve...I see some members have a mega amount of points...just asking..lol

Truthseeker. I am a believe and some may call me more a believe than others. And all I am telling is he is out there. And watching. Your saved more than likely just dont lose you salvation because of sin in the world. Sin is most likely cuzing your loseing faith.

On the other hand of topic. That guy said he believe God manifested himself in the flesh. This should be in other thread which I have posted.
But here are some scripures you should see. I am telling I have prayed and read and talk on this matter.

Ask yourself and pray for the answer serioulsy, ask your why would Jesus Call god his own father, why would jesus say that he came in the will of God,.

there is no need to beleve in god because it doesnt exist. try to get yourself though your problems and dont rely on something else to do it for you. your strong enough, do it your self.

Asking questions and being critical never leads to faith. However if you just ask questions and accept whatever bull you're being spoon fed, then you are lost.

No one created God, he is "I AM."

Cosmic accident? Why do you use the word 'accident' here? If you are referring to the Big Bang theory then there is no reason to assume this was merely an 'accident'. Personally I don't believe this theory offers up a complete picture of the creation of our universe. We're probably missing too many pieces of the puzzle to have a solid idea of how the universe works.

I don't choose to believe in anything. I simply accept that I don't know, unlike theists like you, whom has a deep desire to fill the unknown with magical faries.

Why would an omnipotent being need for worship? More Power? Satisfy Ego? Total Dominance?

How about just simple companionship and understanding between beings not of equal power? No?

Looks like I would have to force my pets and children to worship me soon... or it will be hell for them... no food and water, only pain and suffering.... until they start to obey and worship me do I give them heaven..... we really are like God.... muahahahahaaa!!!!!

God manifested himself in the form of a man called Jesus Christ.

The rough translation is "My God, My God, Why have you abandoned me?"
At those final moments of his life, Jesus was abandoned or forsaken by God. The reason is that in his final hours, Jesus carried the sins of the entire world on his shoulders. His spirit was distraught and his body was tortured and killed by crucifixion. But above all of this, Jesus was alienated from God because he was unclean from carrying the sins of humanity. Umm... no. Revelations clearly states that the Lamb sits on the throne and breaks the seals which hold back the Four Horsemen. Nowhere does it say that God sits on the throne, it says the Lamb does. The Lamb is a metaphor for Jesus Christ (read Isaiah Chapter 53). Also, when God says that we were made in his image, He meant that we were made in his image because Humans feel emotion, have a standard of morals, and are psychologically aware of ourselves.

If you read John chapter 6 25-59 there are some well good scripure in there. jesus says that he comes in the power of God, not in his own. That says James king style ( For I came for heaven not to do my own will, but the will of him that sent him.

That paragraph didn't make much "sents" either. Again, I'm still debating whether or not to believe in the Holy Trinity or to believe that Jesus Christ was the manifestation of God in human form, with the spirit of God dwelling in him. Either way, Jesus was God. Pretend for a second, that you chopped off your right arm. That right arm is still a part of you, but at the same time it is separate from you. Same thing with Jesus and God except God's spirit was in Jesus.

Maybe you need to read more of the revelations I said chapter 4-5 it does not say lamb is says God sits on a throne holding the scroll of seven seals. Read again. I dont lie read. As for Jesus dieing on the cross, what you said still only backs but what I said. Jesus still calls God his own God.

(through out the whole scripure Jesus calls God his own father and God. So does he on the cross. Jesus Prayed to God and not himself. And God has a Body in heaven. In revelations it shows god has a body and hand and Jesus comes and take the scroll out of his hands.

Not only do he say he does'nt know the timeing of his coming but only God knows. Then he even says where God is at in heaven. Jesus is the pefect manifestion of God.

Jesus is the son of God. You cannot be the son if the son is the father.

I think its funny you claim there is no God and yet in that post you just said you claim God created comething. It either one or the other. Second I know the world and probley more than you think and maybe know. I seen more than some and less than others. Life is full of God ways and teaching and most likely deep down in side you know it. You just want to ignor the truth so you can be free. Well God ways are free ways.

I follow this path cuz its the truth and the light. To those you dont believe may your paths light up in front of you. To those who paths are lit, lets work.

the reason it is a blind faith, and the reason theres no proof, is because it would take away your freedom to choose. your free-will, what makes a human different from all the other animals in the world.

if there was proof you'd worship non stop, knowing, for a fact, that the more you worshipped, even neglecting your physical health in the process, would lead to your ultimate acceptance into the hereafter or "heaven". so would most everyone.. and thats just a flawed concept.

if i made a simulated world on a computer, i'd want to give my creations their own choice, their own free-will to do whatever and think whatever, so long as they were forced to ultimately abide by my laws (physics / science), keeping them in their place, soto speak.

Nicely put. I have said it on this web site before free will is a buger. with out it we could do nothing but with it we can do everthing, yet there will be judgement on the free will you choose.

It was a perceptual, subjective definition. People who believe in God think that we are the center of Existence and that God created and controls every thing.

Read what I wrote again. I can not believe in some thing and still use it for analysis, the fact I don't believe in it means that I am aware of it

Yikes. You sound like you've been jaded by those evil Evangelicals and their schemes. The crazy preachers on the sidewalk, the President of the USA..Pat Robertson and the "700" (see: "300", except with 400 more doomed followers). People like that. They stink.. and their stench goes up to heaven, soto speak.

But a true Christian, one that does not practice Idolatry, one that worships God and not the dead/dying flesh of Jesus on a Crucifix plastered onto the wall, does not have the 'center of the universe' complex.

We are on a fringe wing of the universes' many, many, millions of billions of galaxies. We aren't the only creation, our planet isnt the only nice place in the universe to live. God has much more important things to be doing than overseeing every human's life directly, thats why he enacted his laws, and sent the prophets to do all that for him.
