This is the second place you've said it. Is it supposed to be satirical, or are you serious?

Right before I read this, I posted it in yet another Ron Paul thread. There has got to be about 5-6 of them right now.

Ron Paul mania is getting out of hand. Some of these Ron Paul threads need to be combined, or deleted, just like Ron Paul needs to be deleted from Republican candidates.

I agree, but I personally like the Ron Paul hype on this site, since he adheres so strongly to the beliefs that would aid many of those who are here (smaller government, renewed investigation into 9/11, etc.) I like him for less conspiracy-oriented reasons, though. Why don't you make a thread explaining why he has to be "deleted?" It really doesn't make sense to me, so I'd love to hear you explain, but doing it in six different threads isn't fun.

Ron Paul is a disgrace to the Republican Party. He is using the party to espouse his libertarian agenda. The Republican Party needs to drop him immediately, like they did David Duke. No more debates for Ron Paul!

Don't fall for their lies RR, their just trying to trick you.

I have a question.

Since it does seem Mr. Paul is more a Libertarian, why is he not running for the
Libertarian party ticket?

I mean yes it is a third party, but it is the largest party after the Democratic and
Republican parties, and he really does'nt seem like the person that most Republicans seem
to want to get behind, especially the religious right, which, unfortunately makes up a
significant part of the Republican base.

With a third party ticket they won't be seen or heard. Thats why Ron Paul choose the Republican ticket. And the GOP is outraged. Before the Debate based on the MSNBC Ron Paul had 9% after it grew to 42% not sure of the exact number, but Rudy's dropped to 22%. Before Rudy was ahead at 43-45%? Have to check the polls again. Based on these polls Ron Paul leads.

The only problem with a MSNBCDEFG poll is that Republicans don't watch it. When the 1st Republican debate was held on MSNBCPDQHU, more people watched Fox news describing the event, than people actually watching it.

If you support Dr. Paul, now is the time to come to the aid of your candidate. Certain elements of the GOP have decided that Dr. Paul should be excluded from future debates. Even if you don't support Ron, you should still be outraged. This is nothing short of fixing the election. The Elite Establishment types are scared of the guy. That's why he has my support. Actually, he is the strongest candidate for the religious right... He is just unheard of as of yet.

The Republican party is strongly based in liberalism. That's why I absolutely hate the Democratic party, for the most part - most of them are nothing but anti-American socialists. The Republican party...right now, there's a split between them. There's the interventionist authoritarians like McCain, but there there is some Goldwater influence that still exists. The Republican party is a bit harder to generalize than the Democratic.

I fail to see why anything Ron Paul believes or has said should discount his credibility as a Republican or his ability to participate in future debates.

Personally I think the idea is not only insulting to anyone not afraid to hear views different than their own, but it's rather annoying as well considering I mostly hear it said, and rarely hear it backed up with anything.

Anything at all would be better than just saying he's pathetic. That does not a valid point make.

In the days where the GOP has gone more and more to big government and entangling foreign policy, not to mention having serious Socialist overtones (when it's not blatant), Ron Paul is the antithesis to the standard sellout Republican.

Damn conservatives crashing the party!

You'd probably hang Barry Goldwater or Ronald Reagan if they showed up too.

3 reasons why i wont vote for ron paul:

1)He's republican..
2)He's pro-life
3)He's racist or at best doest think about what he says

But hey those are just my personal reasons....

It weird because the only place that I have seen hype about this man is here on ATS. I have seen at least 5 threads dedicated to him...if it hadnt been for those I wouldnt have know who he was

That's pretty stupid. Prejudging someone because of their party. It makes you sound like an ignorant moron, really.

2)He's pro-life

At the state level. He doesn't believe in any federal interference in abortion.

Oh-ho, I was waiting for this one. It was added by a member of his campaign in his name, according to the Texas Monthly. Unsubstantiated.

ignorant moron..wow. I said that I wont vote for him because he is a republican due to the fact that my values go against what the (general) Republican platform is. So that is why I wont vote for him. I didn't say that just because he was a Rep. that he was an A-hole just that I wont vote him. Whats so bad about that? I researched him and looked at his positions and like i predicted they were not in line with mine. If that makes me come off like and ignorant moron..well then too bad.

I am pro-choice on all levels and while he thinks the states should decide he feels that roe v. wade is unconstitutional so..

And Yes I heard his excuse that a ghostwriter said that but I have not seen any proof.(who exactly wrote this/why doesnt he check his own newsletter) But hey take out this point and I still wont vote him due to the reasons mentioned above as well as others such as his opposition to hate crime laws, gay adoptions, the AMBER alert, affirmative action, grants for minority colleges etc...
Next time i would appreciate it if instead of saying that I'm stupid and sound like an "ignorant moron" try to say something more civil..or ask me to explain my position. Thanks

Of course. I apologize if you were insulted.

You need a subscription to see the article where he refutes the racism claims, but it's here: www.texasmonthly.com...

yeah i have read other places where he says it was a staffer who did it. He could be telling the truth and in that case he should read what is being put in a newsletter with his name, He could be lying and using a staff member as a scapegoat.Honestly maybe i should not have mentioned it because there is no evidence either way..

"Ron Paul Courageously Speaks the Truth"
www.youtube.com...

Here's a new video I just got through my email.

Notice at the end how the two reporters try to cut him off and twist Ron Paul's words.
