Is anyone trying, or is the answer too obvious? Or are members becoming too bored with mathematical series questions? I believe that mathematical series questions can sharpen analytical thinking.

A hint: the first number of the series (4) is equal to 4 divided by 1.

A second hint (no more hints!!!): the second number in the series (2.5) is equal to 5 divided by 2. This should give it away.
