I kinda forgot about these forums not too long after registering but here I am 3-4 years later.

I've read most of the rules but can anyone give me some basic pointers or maybe inform me of any unwritten rules?

Our T&C is the "über alles", but I assume you've already read our T&C...

Something everyone should know regarding quoting. "Plagiarism" is a big no-no. To avoid unintentional "plagiarizing", the following should be kept in mind. When quoting words which are not your own:

  • [color=00FFFF]If the quoted words are from another ats member, use quote tags. Like this:

    [quote]

    blahblahblah[/quote]

    [color=00FFFF]It will produce this:

    blahblahblah

    ***

  • [color=00FFFF]If the quoted words are from an external source, use ex tags. Even if you do not have a link, you need to use tags on quoted stuff. I.e. lyrics, from a book or whatever. Like this:

    [ex]

    blahblahblah[/ex]

    [color=00FFFF]It will produce this:

    blahblahblah

    ***

  • [color=00FFFF]If you are quoting from a news article, use news tags (Note: ex tags may also be used here). Like this:

    [news]

    blahblahblah[/news]

    [color=00FFFF]It will produce this:

    blahblahblah

    Please visit the link provided for the complete story.

    Confusing? If in doubt, don't quote

    Oh, and welcome back

    edit: removed an apostrophe to make the color bb-code work...

    Ah, thanks I understand. I've been posting on SA for a long time it seems the rules are pretty similar here and there only you have to pay money to post there which sucks.

    Oh gosh you have a lot of points.
