Ok what do you know about 9/10/2001?

I'll go first.

On Sept. 10, Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld declared war. Not on foreign terrorists, "the adversary's closer to home. It's the Pentagon bureaucracy," he said.

He said money wasted by the military poses a serious threat.

"In fact, it could be said it's a matter of life and death," he said.

"According to some estimates we cannot track $2.3 trillion in transactions," Rumsfeld admitted.

General Montague Winfield, the director of the National Military Command Center, or the war room located in the pentagon requested on ... September 10th that someone stand in for him in the war room on ... september 11th between 8:30 and 10:30 am.

John O'Neil maverick FBI counter terrorist expert on Bin Laden resigns from the FBI, after 25 years, and on Sept 10th he starts a new job with a company called Kroll Associates as head of security at the world trade center. John O'Neil was also an expert on investigating building bombings by terrorists.

FEMA denies this claiming that Kenney is mistaken . FEMA insists that the crew arrived in resonse to the events of 9/11. Mayor Rudoph Guliani , testifying before the 9/11 Commission, sided with Kenney’s version of events.

5 ) Investment banking giant Goldman Sachs issues a terror alert to it’s employees and clients on this day . Clients and executives worldwide are admonished to avoid close proximity to tall buildings.

6) NSC advisor Condoleezza Rice decides that she will call former SF Mayor Willie Brown to urge him to cancel his flight to NYC scheduled for the following morning.

7) Attorney General John Ashcroft continues his practice of flying on private chartered jets ,citing unspecified "security concerns"

8) Top Pentagon civilian leaders suddenly cancel their flights scheduled for the mornong of 9/11/01.

9) Detailed plans for the invasion of Afghanistan arrives on the desk of US President George W. Bush on 9/10/01.

10 ) Executives working at the Twin Towers Complex begin to arrive in Omaha , Nebraska . The following morning they will attend a charity breakfast and participate in a golf tournament sponsored by billionaire investor Warren Buffet. The location for this event is Offut Air Force Base . The president of the United states would arrive at Offut AFB hours later.

11) Operatives of Mossad receive word that tommorrow is "D-Day". The following morning they will video the World Trade Centre as planes crash into the two gigantic buildings - much to their glee.

12 ) Open interest in put option soar for stocks in reinsurance companies and large air carriers. Many of these trades are handled through the private investment banking division of Alex Brown/ Deutschbank in Germany. The head of that division resigns days later.

13 ) The former head of the counterintelligence division of the FBI, John O’Neill , is preparing for his first day of work at his new job , head of security for the World Trade Centre complex. His first day on the job would tragically be his last day on earth.

14 ) One of the largest war games in history is assembling within shouting distance of Afghanistan. The deployment of 22,000 British troops is that nation’s largest deployment since World War 2.

15) The final preparations for another emergency disaster preparedness drill are taking place at the Defence Dept. Some crazy idea about an airplane striking the Pentagon . As the drill commences ,a real plane strikes the Pentagon, leaving drill participants in total quandry - not knowing whether they are reacting to a simulated "disaster" or the real deal. The Navy Captain (Res. ) who helped prepare these disaster drills is the lead pilot of the plane that actually crashed into the Pentagon. That part of the Pentagon where these drills are planned is the location where the plane exact it’s fatal toll on passengers and employees of the Defence Dept.

interesting read yet old in some ways....it was obvious from the day it happened..that this was a rason to go into war..seemed a bit staged the whole thing..

I'll just add that Offutt is no ordinary AFB, but HQ of the Strategic Command, and that our strategic forces were at Defcon3 on the morning of the attack, before the attack, as part of the Global Guardian "war games."

SOme of that is very good information, and some is urban legend. I mean, is it possible that maybe the guy had a meeting that morning? I know IN know, to much coincidence right?

Well, okay there is a small smidgen of truth to this, however AG Ashcroft was still flying commercial air in August 2001.

Yes, there were large options on airlines for that day, however, the options for 9/11, were not the highest put options on the airlines in 2001. Several other days of the year had higher amounts.

Capt Burlingame retired from the Navy in 1996, long before these drills were planned.

Nope, not even close to being true. The Bin Laden family was gathered in one spot so the FBI could interview those members that it felt the need to do and then they were allowed to leave the US on Sept 20, 2001, after the skies had reopened to air travel

Actually, had the Bin Ladens chose to, they could have arranged to be driven across the Canadian border to fly home, they chose to make themselves available to the US Government.

Yes, there was a drill planned, but according to Mrs Kenney, and the members of the fire department he worked for say that he was still at home on 9/10/01.

To confirm, the Herald called the Kenney home on Cape Cod and spoke to Kenney's wife, who said that her husband did go to New York on Sept. 11, not Sept. 10. She explained that he was under extreme stress when Rather interviewed him, and added wryly that it was typical of her husband to confuse dates.

Which meant they were in their offices the morning on 9/11/01.....yep thats where I would be if I knew an attack was coming......

The problem with this one is, NEWSWEEK used a "unnamed" source, in other words, no way to check it out. However, there WAS a warning put out, well an update anyway, for US military personnel not to travel on airliners...IN ASIA.

After a complete air flight ban in the US began during the 9/11 attacks, some commercial flights begin resuming this day. However, all private flights are still banned from flying. Nonetheless, at least one private flight carrying Saudi royalty takes place on this day.

Conspiracy- 1) A joining or acting together, as if by sinister design.
2) any concurrence in action; combination in bringing about a given result.

Coincidence - 1) a striking occurrence of two or more events at one time apparently by mere chance.
2) A sequence of events that although accidental seems to have been planned or arranged.

So it is possible to be a coincidence theorist and a conspiracy theorist, but it is not possible to be a coincidence denier, but it is possible to be a conspiracy denier.

We should all become co-incidence theorists.

We would be unstoppable.

Would that be a conspiracy of co-incidence theorists?

Your explanation is like beating a suspect till he confesses to #ing a gerbil high on meth when all he was doing was jaywalking.

if you look hard enough, you can create multiple theories. However, to prove that hypothesis, you need evidence, or something to test. Research.
The government had nothing to gain on 9/11. They were going into Irawq anyways, and since 9/11 occured and they had a trail of support, why not go. Iraq did not fund 9/11, but it funded like minded terrorist organizations. Connect the dots. Grey became black and white when I looked hard enough. IT is in how one words an finding or an arguement that will define them.

September 11th was in motion prior to Bush taking office. This is fact. We were not equipped to stop the threat of radical terrorists, and we are still not.
