Anyone who does not think that contrails should intersect, go look at a instrument route chart. You will see lots of areas for potential or such grids.

There is no one that can look at a plane or trails and say "Oh thats at 25,000 ft"
Impossible.



I'm not sure who this ? is for but I didn't say they were all the same type of planes, but now that You've brought it up, yeah,I believe they probably were. I think it was even stated earlier that 'it's a shame We can't identify what kind of jets they were'. Of course contrails would intersect at some point in time, We have so much air traffic how could they not? I just know that any trails I've ever seen were never so 'geometric'. Even stationed in Tucson at the AFB any flights coming in did so in an oblong manner. Your correct, noone can say at what altitude a craft is flying from the ground exactly, but there are some people have enough experience to make an educated guess- Like someone who has 20 yrs. of flight experience for the military.
