Helium Glad Bag UFO Sightings

Years ago I met a group of guys that had been responsible for a UFO sighting. They were all in the Police/Fire/EMT field, and you may know people in that field tend to play pranks on one another. Smelling salts in the A/C vents, etc.

A few guys took some regular black Glad bags, filled them with helium, and then tied a regular emergency road flare to them with a rope. Many people in the town reported seeing this "UFO", moving red dancing light in the sky.

It seems this prank, or variations there of, makes it's way around every now and then. Just be aware it's out there. For anyone thinking about something stupid like this, remember you could start a fire, plus be fined, even if you just release helium bags into the air without the flare. That worm looking balloon on the other post could easily take out a small plane or even a jet engine.
