That's a bald faced lie. It was Paolo Harris who brought this clip to the public and had this footage authenticated by experts. I don't think you would know CGI if you saw it. My take is that maybe the end sequence of the warping out is fake.

In any case, the problem with this type of video clips is that without any kind of documentation such as multiple eyewitnesses or any other documentation or definitive background information, is that these footages are not taken seriously.
Video clips alone is meaningless nowadays, with advances in computer graphics.

True. Unfortunately it has come to this. Paolo was not clear on who's craft it is. She only confirmed the clip was not given to her by the air force. But she never said it was not the air force's craft.

Hi, i'm new around here. I'm a user from Italy, and when I approached on this forum i noticed this tread about this short clip, so i create an account.
This is obiously a nice one, and on an Italian forum about UFOs where i'm an active user, we are discussing about it too. I also asked (on that forum) to a famous ufologist here in italy, to get some info about it, and looks like they have the same video in Hi-Res format on a DVD, so they're now analyzing it. If they'll release this hi-res short, i will inform you.

I saw a genuine and quite close ufo in 2004. It's hard to explain the shape it had but the underside, which was like a kind of short blunt cone, was textured and was very similar to the 'fins' that lift or roll up on the side of the craft in this video. It's hard to describe but the texture kind of reminds me of those matte sequinned advertising curtains you get or those very dangerous bees that cling in a giant bunch from rocks and when one moves they all ripple. I know nothing about CGI but the detail on these parts alone make me think this might be a genuine craft. Alien or man-made I don't know but I think this may be real, or very well done, and what an imagination.

I am new to this sight and never posted a reply before so please don’t be too harsh on me.
This thread caught my eye and I just had to comment.
Now as to the video of the unidentified .Flying. Object. I have come to the conclusion that it is real, not alien but human made. Now that is my personal opinion not professional just mine own.
My reasons are these
1. when the object appears the camera suddenly comes alive suggesting who ever it was had been expecting and waiting for this moment kind of like seeing the loch ness monster after ten years of searching and then bam there it is, I am not surprised the person is all over the place, just think of the shock at seeing such an object, what it would mean.

2.As far as CGI I goes I am very doubtful myself as the footage itself is at least three to four years old maybe more, now perhaps someone out there could tell me if CGI of that quality was available at the time of the vid being shot as it has been stated in this thread already that they would have needed to have been highly skilled in CGI to create the shifting movements, maybe look at films of around that time to compare, when I think of films with CGI they always are smooth and easy on the eye but this is rough and I think more difficult to create so why bother making it with so much camera movement in the first place(just making the job harder for themselves)?
There is also the fact that the object has been verified by specialist’s as quoted earlier and is considered to be real NOT CGI.

3. The model theory is interesting certainly possible but what you have to think is about is the cost of constructing such a complete working model. it would cost a fortune on a big scale with major technical knowledge; not something an amateur could really afford and look at how smooth it fly’s up the dry river bed and then circles, this no toy or model. the way the flaps open suggest to me some sort of internal drive coming online that perhaps needs to withdraw air for cooling specially when combined with the circular motion it makes like a gyro or some thing inside the craft is kicking into rotation. You would need one hell of a setup to control a craft like that and a deep wallet to boot (perhaps there are a few governments in the world that could fund an operation like this).

4. Last is the location of the video the most crucial part of the film in my opinion. I can’t understand why no one has commented on this. Why I say this is because one post said why would this person just happen to be filming that particular spot at that time, well like I said earlier they must of been expecting it and were laying in wait but that still does not provide a reason, well I think I may be able to.

Here you will find details about an airbase where the video was shot.
You will see that the Americans run that base and you will see that it is not a small complex either, not according to the details. you will also see that they have occupied that base since 1945 about what five six years before Roswell and now we have footage of a saucer, the fact that someone was waiting suggests this has happened before in that area, come now people we now we are capable of this technology so why work so hard to deny it or call it a hoax unless u have a darker motive???
Look at the mountains at the start of the vid, they fit the location. I would really appreciate it if some one could have a look with google earth at this spot, would be interesting to see as I cant run it on this machine(46°04′N 12°35′E), would also be good to see if there an image of this area or whether its one of those blurry areas. Now I grant u this place could be completely harmless but please consider it as CGI and amateur models flying through the sky does not explain it well enough.

Feel free to ask me to expand on anything I have said and sorry for my rubbish punctuation.

I really hope the people faking these UFO vidoes do not come here because they will just be making a checklist on how to make the footage more realistic for next time. I wonder who has there hands in creating the fake videos is it some UNI student, smart kid with a CGI setup or someone with a agenda ?

i work as cgi artist for some company you probably know so far , believe me i know quite a lot about doing cgi spaceships , its what i get paid for..

i've got a couple of thougts about this..
First a beginner could NOT do this. and i mean it.
you need some serious knowledge to get something of that level .. create a cg model , animate it , render it in a defined hdri environment (which require a $3000 camera and lenses) , and put a lot of time working on post production integration .. especially the specular pass which need lots of work on this case..

a professional could achieve this , but certainly not some random kid with too much free time..
i'm not sure if it's real or not..but believe me , if it's cgi , the guy is doing that for a living.

This video has just popped up on the "MSN Today" part that comes up when you sign into MSN Messenger. Theres a few other videos, the one in Turkey is unusual.

When i first saw the object in the distance i thought it was a helicopter, then obviously it got closer and had a CGI feel look to it, then after that i considered being R/C but that would be one hell of a radio controlled saucer, especially with the top and bottom spinning.

Personally, like many previous posters I too say its a fake. If this was genuine it would be all over the news, it just couldnt be denied. It would def be the best footage of ALL time!!
