OK. I just want to say one thing. If you think I am lying or do believe in dragons and just want to post to clear that out, don't even bother to post here. I hate when people do that. XP

OK, so I was walking to my bus stop just like every morning. I was walking down my street, which has a group of trees next to it, that we used to play at. Anyways, when I got closer to the bus stop, I saw what appeared to be a snake with a feathery tail and wings...and it made a sound that was similar to a parrot. It almost swooped down at me. At that glance I could of sworn that was a Amphithere Dragon. And if you are going to say "Amphitheres are just Myan myth", then again, don't post here. I'm just saying what it looks like.

And to you smart-alecs that are fixing to say "I think you are just trying to say that you saw a dragon and you don't want to hear denial", then, again, don't post that!!

My friend Shayne then later came to my bus stop and said " I think I saw a dragon, kinda like those Ampa-whatevers you saw in a book. I think it was eating a crow".

Creepy, eh?

How can you come to an open forum and demand only one side, your believers, reply?

Disbelief shall make the truth clearer, and besides discussions are always healthy. Too bad your own OP invites to offensive replies

On a side not... I love dragons, they are the most beautiful mythologic creature. I just haven't seen one

Komodos can fly? Oh, and I guess cause your a 'dragonologist' it must be true right?
And how did you come up with dragonologist? If dragons were an -ology it would be called dracology surely.

And asking for only people who will say "You are totally right and it was a true and you aren't trying to say you saw a dragon, and amphitheres aren't just Myan myth." your in the wrong place.

Amph's are just Myan myth, whether they once existed or not. All we have left is Myan myth and until we find a fossil or specimen that is all they will remain.

First off i would like to warn you that with my experience on multiple forums the ONLY way to make sure you get an offensive post is to type DONT POST THIS your pretty much garunteed to get an immature member (or maybe juts a bored one) that sees your thread and says EXACTLY what u dont want said just to tick you off....

BACK ON TOPIC

i dont know what you saw, and i dont know if dragons are real or not.... ive never seen one, but maybe u did? i think you should invest in a Digital Camera just in case something like this happens again!!! if it really was a dragon Congrats !!

The thing about dragons is, they are one of those "seeing is believing" things. They are also one of those things that there is alot of questionable evidence for. As much as I would like dragons to be real, There just isn't enough to say they are. I have heard alot of accounts of dragon sightings, most of them are very quick and without detail, and all of them are questionable as to what they could have been.

Then again, try comparing accounts of dragon sightings to accounts of UFO sightings. Dragon sightings are less believable due to the very little evidence for them, while UFO sightings are more believable beacause more people have seen them and there is more evidence. And those who haven't seen them (dragons and UFO's), are less likely to believe because they haven't seen it for themselves. I experince this when I tell others of my UFO sighting, most haven't seen a UFO so they just laugh and don't take it seriously.

I think for any sighting, we should ask questions, try to find out what it could have been, then compare to other sightings we know of. No one here at ATS should be insulting anyone about their sighting. We should all be mature and ask intellegent questions and offer our opinions.

Maybe it was kite? Maybe your friend was playing a trick on you...
Maybe it was a large bird that's of a species you're not aware of.
Or maybe it was actually a dragon

I do love cryptids, but it's hard to be sure about anything with no evidence

I personally don't believe what you saw was a dragon, and I'm not saying that to tick you off I'm just thinking sensibly. How close did you actually get to this creature?

Did it look anything like this?

It could simply be someone’s escaped pet. I'm sure someone who knows more about lizards than me could think of pleanty of examples that fit your description somewhat if they thought hard enough.

From what your friend said, it does kind of sound like he was pulling your leg. He 'thought' it was eating a crow, would it not be quite obvious if it was or wasn't?

Anyway, thats just my two-penneth

To the OP: why do you care if people believe you or not? If you saw something strange, cool! Let us know about it but demanding only certain types of posts is stupid. Grow up.

Your interest in dragons is cool and that alone may be the reason YOU and your friend saw one. What im getting at is Tulpas. A Tulpa is something we create with our minds. Its not your imagination, you could very well be willing this creature into existance for a short time. This also goes for bigfoot, loch ness monster, chubacapras etc. I understand it to be a native american word. check it out.

are you sure it wasnt a Quetzal bird?
it was the foundation of the Quetzalcoatl legends
they have huge long tails, that move like a snake when resting and flying.
