Porn Interupts News Broadcast

news.yahoo.com

MESA, Ariz. - A cable news program was temporarily replaced with hard-core pornography, shocking viewers who had been watching a health show featuring former NBC News anchor Tom Brokaw. The incident Monday night on KPPX-TV was "an act of human sabotage" at the Phoenix-area station, said ION Television, which operates the station.

When I first read the headline I thought no way this was in America, usually the odd news is other countries (even though though I believe America houses the most odd people). Imagine my suprise to find this in Arizona.

They just replaced one health show with one of a different format is all.

Seriously, I am just not getting why the act that is responsible for the closest thing to a miracle on earth is hidden away, frowned upon, and considered so dirty, when it is at the same to the reason all of us are here.

I think this is also a conspiracy that needs looked into.

I understand what you're saying. I haven't seen the images or anything. But the lady describes this as "hardcore porn" and that isn't something that was intended to be shown on the news. Apparently it wasn't even close to suitable, the station is pretty upset and is determined to find the person responsible and fire them.

Lol, I doubt this was just an alternative choice for them. They describe the situation as sabotage.

Yes, of course it was sabotage at a cable station. The problem is they can automate their telecasts to insert commercials and local broadcasts and anyone that knew the schedule could have swapped a tape or programmed it to play a certain VTR. If it is a small facility I am sure they will find their person.

I think they should just reprimand them privately and scold them publicly and let it go really. The only harm done is offending a minortiy of people out there. It is cable TV, which is not public broadcasting.

Very true.

Now I can't really agree with you on this. I do think the individual needs to be let go. Sure it was cable, not public, but they need to know this is unacceptable behavior when working with any kind of television programming. They should already know this. I figure it to be one of the younger staff members as a funny prank. Which I'm sure a few people found it to be hilarious.

This could probably get more people involved in the news!

Yes the underground militant movement to release sex from it's shackles of demonization has finally begun to mobilize!!! Take that NWO!! Finally an end to this evil conspiracy to prevent us humans from enjoying the one awsome thing that all people (sorry impotent people) Can enjoy. Maybe sex was a gift from the gods to reward us for not blowing up the planet yet!

I disagree with this. Me thinks it is more likely someone who was about to get fired or quit and felt he was wronged by the station. This sounds like revenge more than prank.

But of course, this is all conjecture.

Count me in there. What could be funnier!

Many years ago when I was living in Hawaii, I had a friend who was making breakfast one morning, while her kids were in the living room watching Nickelodeon. All of a sudden she heard moaning and screaming from the living room. She ran in to see what was going on, and found that Nickelodeon was suddenly a porn channel. It lasted almost 10 minutes I think she said.
