Here we go Anyone know of a good free webhost

ok 275mb.com apparently went down and i'm not looking to pay for webspace so i prefer the free adbased junk for now.

So lets try and get a list going of free sites that meet this criteria:

1only a banner on top for add no popups and no sidebars
2subdomains but not unreasonable lie whatever.100web.com
3cgi/php/sql
4ftp

and has been up for a while as the last stipulation, please help me out on this.

No ads or banners, ftp, 2000mb space, 2000mb bandwidth/monthly, e-mail etc.

cgi/php/sql is an extra cost.

yeah thank you so much, the server camne back up last week and i'm defenetlyu going to check this out 275mb is way unreliable lately and their CP sucks

If you can, try to find a geeky friend that would be willing to share some webspace on his/her servers.

Super Dimensional Fortress is mostly free. They ask for $2 one time donation to show you are actually who you say you are and it gets you 80 MB of space. $36 one time donation gets you even more space, 600 MB. That's only the tip of the iceberg for both of these. I'll let you read about them here.
