Im just sitting here thinking about it. Im watching the news thinking that if more people knew about when a child went missing, it can give a positive outcome to the missing kid stories we keep reading about. I've tried to put a ticker in my sig but its _javascript.

Think about it.

That would not be a good idea, considering that it would have to be for
the whole country, and there can be more than one at a time.

Add to that that it does seem like a waste of bandwidth, it is a noble
thing to wna t to do, but in the end you have to deal with what's possible.

Also, personally, I hate the damned Amber Alerts, I mean yes, it's good
that we are informed and all, but really, sometimes they take it to far.

But do they do it for a single state, or the whole country?

There are some that display for both, and I think they may show mulitple alerts.

I just looked up 'Amber Alert' on wikipedia, and I now understand that it is an emergency warning that is sent out nationally to inform people of a child abduction, right?

What percentage of traffic on ATS is not from the US?

That is a good point. I forgot that most people on this site are not from the US. Sorry for assuming that.

Thanks for the suggestion. It is admirable to be concerned for missing children.

Such a decision would fall on the owners of this website so I will let them know about this thread.

Feel free to use this feature in the future to contact the administration of this website.
