Voters in three dozen Vermont towns want Congress to begin an impeachment probe of Pres. George W. Bush and Vice Pres. Dick Cheney.
Two towns, Clarendon and Dover, voted the measure down. Nearly a half dozen towns agreed to not take up, or table, the resolution.
More than a dozen towns passed measures calling for the immediate withdrawal of troops from Iraq, and to care for them when they were back on U.S. soil. Dover also rejected the troop measure.

This is politics to the extreme. Somebody needs to break it to these idiots that they, as a town, cannot make decisions like this. Perhaps they all need a lesson in how our government works. Will somebody please send a letter or something and let them know that they need to talk to their senators and representatives, ie. the people they chose to represent them.
What a great way to waste taxpayer money. Let's have a citywide vote that means absolutely nothing and take it out of the city's coffers!
From impeachbush.tv Local governments can play a major role in the impeachment process. A city or state cannot directly impeach a President. That is done by the US House of Representatives. But individuals, groups or local governments can initiate the impeachment process by sending charges to the Congress for them to act on. Efforts are now underway in several states to initiate impeachment of George Bush. Many cities and counties have already passed resolutions calling for impeachment. Our hope is that these resolutions will encourage Congress to vote for impeachment.

He has a little more than a year and a half left anyway. Hopefully he won't make any more mistakes by then (*ahem*.. sending more troops to iraq therefore weaking america's defense).
