American citizens are not the only ones who oppose, even soilders famlies disagree with the democrats.

WASHINGTON, DC - March 8 - Military Families Speak Out (MFSO), an organization of over 3,200 military families who are opposed to the war in Iraq, expressed dismay and outrage at the plan unveiled by House Democrats today that would delay the withdrawal of U.S. combat troops until the fall of 2008.

“The Iraq plan presented by Nancy Pelosi today condemns at least 1,500 more U.S. troops and countless Iraqi children, women, and men to die in a war based on lies, a war that has already taken far too many lives,” said Nancy Lessin, co-founder of MFSO.

it seems bush is the only supporter left of his plan to keep the troops there as long as posible. even though its supposed to be a democracy, the minority (democrats) always wins in america.

For a while I thought you meant they opposed democratic (as in democracy) plan for Iraq. Now that would be a good thing.
What a shame your article is just an attack on the Democrats Party which doesn’t have a plan yet, because they haven’t even elected their leader yet.
Not that makes any difference, whatsoever; as just as the democrats don’t have a plan; the Republicans don’t know what the plan is. Staying the course is not a plan, it’s not even a prediction of the future. It’s merely the result oF continued action when little (or nothing) has really gone to plan.

I suppose they’ve got themselves an Iraqi government; but by electing terrorist members, supporting terrorists, civil-war actions, as well as torture and sectarian genocide it hasn’t gone to plan ether. Not least because they can’t work together (because unlike Saddam) they aren’t all secular. The absence of a near 100% secular government (like ours in the West) is the reason why Iraq is a mess.
Too bad Iraqi democracy doesn’t deliver secular government; nor will it ever do so, at least not in the near future, and perhaps not even for centuries to come (by which time it'll will be long over anyway).
