Demands for banks and phone companies to hand over people's private information without telling them may also have gone beyond what is allowed by the Patriot Act, the report showed.

The audit shows the FBI "was sloppy when it should have been diligent", one official with early access to the report said, and a statement from the Justice Department said Attorney General Alberto Gonzales had told the FBI "these past mistakes will not be tolerated."

Occurs it was a free ride against privacy rights and civil rights, but many pro government people were defending anything this corrupted government was doing behind our backs. . .

Still is no accountability and that is worst than knowing that after all the red flags were true.

Its no bigger than pack of cigarettes.
I have every DVD and every CD I own stored on it.
Over seven consecutive days of listening pleasure.
Over six consecutive days of viewing please.
Almost 2 solid weeks of digital information.

The feds have technology well beyond my little Ipod.

I have little doubt that somewhere, probably in Virgnia, there is a database with every phone call I have ever made,or ever received, stored away in a 'Fedpod, just wating for the day when 'they' want to review my conversations.

We, western citizens, are afraid of people having information about us, and using it when it's appropriate, to wipe our credibility out.

For example, i received a few years ago a so-called "porn-peer-to-peer" book, filled with phone numbers of "lusty" women who wanted to get laid in my own city. Waow, it was such a hoax that i couldn't prevent myself from writing an answer to a woman who wanted to experience exotic sex. I gave my real name, and my real address, so she could (the magazine said) reply herself and give me a date. I never heard of the letter I sent, no answer, nothing...So i tried every phone number in the magazine. Fake phone numbers. All of them. So I thought "why the hell are people selling magazines with fake numbers and fake ads???"
Suddenly the gears of my conspiracy-orientated mind went on, and I realized that it was MAYBE financed and organized by the government (or people like them) to gather information from people who were "sexually deviant" or so, and I thought "oh my, they have a handwritten proof that I got into their hoax !" ... It's been 4 years or so...Now, I just think i was tricked by some crooks who print fake porn magazines to make easy money. How ironic. But my doubts subsist !
