As a matter of fact Browno I have.

I used to live just up the road from where they were built at a factory on Station rd in Seven Hills, Sydney Australia. They used to fly them out of a short airstrip in the industrial area the factory was in. This has since been built on. I remember they suffered a factory fire about 14/15 years back, you could see right into the factory from the road as it was only a few meters from the fence. I vividly recall seing burnt aircraft and fibreglass through the factory doors. I dont think production continued after this , and the factory has been demolished for a newer one I believe. You can still see the red and white obstacle hazzard stripes on the old Transfield factory site chimmneys next door. The whole area has been built out now, 30 years ago as a young child I remember this was still semi rural its all turned to concrete in the last 10/15 years.

I seem to recall one was used in the 'Mad Max/Road Warrior' films.

LEE.

And thats the prettified version you're looking at. You should try to seek out the original model with the radial engine!

Hmmm, maybe thats what caused the factory to burn waynos? "One day a little Airtruk caught its reflection in the mirror at the factory and spontaneously combusted from the hideous image it saw"!

Very likely!

here's an image of the original, it was then called the Waitomo Airtruck, before Transavia bought the design. Its just a smallish image as I'm trying not to frighten the children who might see it.
move away from the screen!
