The traditionally neutral Swiss army has staged an unplanned invasion after troops blundered into Liechtenstein.
A 171-strong Swiss company got two kilometres into its neighbour before realising the mistake and heading back.

Liechtenstein authorities made light of the intrusion, saying they only knew about it when the Swiss told them.

In 1985, the Swiss had to pay Liechtenstein compensation when rockets fired by its army went astray and set a forest ablaze.

With all the doom and gloom in the news, this made me chuckle. I thought I'd share it with you all

lmao, this is very funny stuff. Not only did they accidently invade, but the invading army had to tell them that they had accidently done so. This is too rich.

That's got to be a first in military history where the invader has to tell the invadee, after the fact, that the invasion took place!

Funny stuff..

I didn't know that in the 80's, the Swiss had another spat with Liechtenstein after some rockets set fire to a wood.

Wow, I want to invade Liechtenstein, sounds like fun.
