Where does Rice actually say that they're going to ignore Congress?

All congress has done so far is, what, have a resolution saying 'war bad'?

If Congress and the Democrats want the US to leave, then they need to repeal the authorization for use of force, or cut the funding. Its nonsense to say 'war bad', or to pass resolutions requiring that 'the US fight al-qaida and terrorists in iraq, while protecting the iraqi civil government and training the military, but not fight non-terrorist insurgents', which is the other 'big proposal' on the table.

I love how history is re-written after the fact to make one's arguments seem more reasonable

Yea, I love that too, the media does it on a daily basis
I lived through the Reagan Years,
and I didn't think it was all the whoop they make it out to be.....
Matter of fact, The Trickle Down Theory was about all I got ,
yet thought
isn't that how other things runs.......downhill!!

Your little claim of "lies to everyone" is swiftly defeated as well. A lie is purposefully telling a mistruth to manipulate people. Forwarding what is later found to be incorrect information is not a lie. If you can prove that Bush KNEW that the information he was presenting was false, then you can claim the lie. But that has not happened yet.

AHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!

"I did not have sexual relations with that woman."

Guess the definition of a lie depends on your politial affiliation.

That depends on what you mean by the word "is."

I was trying to point out that a lie is a lie nothing more. I was not attempting to "stir the pot".

I have said it once and I will say it again....Condi Rice is the most ineffectual sec. of state that we have had in my lifetime.

Right.....
Madeline Albright was a gift from God, eh? :shk:

Rice has faced challenges that her predecessors would have either folded under or quit when presented with them.

And she hasn't accomplished a bloody thing. Name one, certainly not peace in the middle east. She is a yes woman for bush minor and nothing more.

She doesn't make policy; she implements it. And you won't find a harder working, more dedicated, gov't employee than Condi Rice.

doesn't mean the policies she promotes are for the good of the country. From what I have seen they aren't, not by a long shot.

Condi is nothing than a hard working wonder woman that kiss up to bush . . . I imagine that she is getting a very nice seat with the oil business as soon she finish her career of kissing up to the power in this country.

What a woman, Wonder woman.

Bush has said that he is The decision maker and by his god of power and greed he will accomplish what he was set to do.

If only he can get the oil draft in Iraq to be sign to become a bill, before congress gets to hard to handle and the government of Iraq falls more into chaos.

Did you really just reference a news article on "The Homepage of Welsh Witchcraft" and try to use it to prove that GW knowingly lied about WMDs?? LOL. I'm really not quite sure how to respond to that. Let me see if I can dig up a news reference on ToysRUs.com and use it to refute you.

Thanks, you made my day. Simply hilarious.

Well, there's a point we can agree on. The media is a waste of space, they report 95% negative and 5% positives and make it look like the world has gone to hell.

I can't comment much on Reagan. I was only 13 when he left office. However, I can tell you that during those years my family of 3 went from upper lower to upper middle. I understand that maybe not everybody had that same experience, but there you have it.

At this point you still need a reference to tell you information that refuted what GW & Co was telling us was held back in favor of the information he gave everyone that said positively there were WMD's in Iraq? You don't think that was misleading? How about the Global Warming data that was also forcefully held back? If you think that the welsh witchcraft site was funny , then your belief that this administration has been honest is even funnier.

Yep, I sure do. I have yet to see any solid proof that GW knowingly lied to get us into this war. In my country, one is innocent until proven guilty. Should hard evidence ever appear that we were purposely mislead, I will be the first person to light my torch and don my pitchfork.

Well, personally I think the scientific community's findings on global warming are politically and financially motivated. I find the stifling of the anti-global warming scientists to be the real issue here. There's a ton of money moving around to fight global warming and in this case, the money is making the decision. Most of these scientists yelling "The sky is falling!" would be out of a job if the anti-global warming opinion got some airtime.

If it's funny to use facts to base my opinion on, then yes, it's hilarious. I do not rush to judgement, never have, never will. As I said above, if hard proof ever surfaces I'll lead the charge. It hasn't happened yet though. You're beliefs are influenced by your bias at this point. It's fine that you don't like the guy, it's fine that you disagree with his actions/ideas, it's not fine to make assumptions based on circumstantial evidence and condemn a man with them just because you don't like him.

WELL........ there are those famous 13 words about Iraq trying to buy yellowcake from Niger... he was told point blank that the sources were not reliable and not to mention it and he and his gang of four (Cheney, Rumsfeld, Rice and Powell) used the notion to frighten up support for invading. If that wasn't lying, since he was told, I don't know what is.
