TEHRAN, Iran — Iran executed a defendant by hanging after a court convicted him of a bombing last week that killed 11 members of the elite Revolutionary Guards, the official Islamic Republic News Agency reported.

Nasrollah Shanbe Zehi was executed at the site of the attack in Zahedan, capital of Sistan-Baluchestan province in southeastern Iran, the report said. The sentence was carried out a day after a revolutionary court convicted him of the bombing.

A Sunni militant group which some believe is linked to al-Qaida claimed responsibility. Jundallah, or God's Brigade, has also been blamed for past attacks on Iranian troops.

IRNA quoted an unnamed official as saying on Friday that Zehi confessed that the attacks were part of U.S. plans to provoke ethnic and religious violence in Iran.

As of right now there are no confirmed links between Jundallah and the U.S., or Jundallah and Al-Qaeda, but there are allegations of ties to both. Iran thinks the US is funding and training Jundallah. Wikipedia says they're affiliated with Al-Qaeda.

If these links exist in reality, America is supporting Al-Qaeda... kinda throws off that whole "War on Terror" thing.

Please note: These links to terrorist groups are impossible to prove... it's all here say but this is a conspiracy message board so why not?

The weight one gives to the plausibility of a theory needs to be based on the evidence one can provide to support that theory(i.e. all theories aren't equally valid). Opinions aren't evidence, so what Iran thinks is irrelevant, if the evidence to support their opinion isn't there. Which makes the statement "If these links exist in reality, America is supporting Al-Qaeda... kinda throws off that whole "War on Terror" thing," perhaps a bit disengenuous.

I wrote "if" the links exist. "if" already puts doubt onto the phrase, not to mention the disclaimer at the bottom.

In my opinion, just based on how I think our country would operate in a situation like this, I think that it is totally justified to say we "might" be using our special forces or CIA to train anti-Iranian terrorists. Of course it would never be admitted publicly.

Look at the history of our government and some of the things they've tried to do to win wars, "Cambodia Laos"... false flag attacks... going to war with no real pretext!

It's kinda like the bad kid at school. Someone shoved a cherry bomb down the toilet, who do you blame? You blame the kid who consistently has acted accordingly with these types of behavior.

Of course, the US isn't the only country whom acts like this... it's simply something that big governments, with big money, tend to do.

I just wanted to point out that there "may" be a link there. I wanted to create discussion because the websites are saying there's a link, but I can't find any definitive proof. It's something to consider. Wait, is that a conspiracy theory? Gee wally, that's what this whole website is about!
