What do you guys think of this pic which was taken during Shuttle mission STS-64 on September 15, 1994, over Massachusetts?

Is it a UFO or a rocket booster or what??

It's swamp gas reflected from the reflected light of Venus at an angle of 82degrees with water droplets bending the light so it looks dark...

In other terms....no idea!

My first thought was satellite, but I don't know for certain. It could be the rocket booster or a rock though.

Not really related to the topic but that picture of the space walk sends shivvers down my spine. It takes brass balls to do that!

Well, I would think that the Astronaut that took that would know the difference but who knows. We all saw how they called mystery objects baggies.

I always thought how much FUN it would be to do this, then i seen a pic like the one above, thats when I realized that I would probably have an overwhelming sensation of falling to earth.
I think maybe being further out in space, away from a planet or moon, would probably be cooler lol

BRASS BALLS are needed just to go up into space when you consider that at 18,000mph, a loose bolt from a previous flight slamming into your ship is disaster. Didn't I read that there are now thousands of pieces of space junk orbiting the planet and debris less than 6 inches across can't be tracked? I think the Shuttle needs to start orbiting 50 miles higher to decrease the collision risks.

This is the Spartan Satellite. It was released from the shuttle to gather Sun data autonomously for 2 days. It was retrieved by STS 64 on 9 15 94
