I just read this UK Telegraph article.

What's happening to the family in the UK? Don't you folks worry about your future? I know not all British families are short changing their kids, but this seems to be an unsettling trend.

Your View: Are we really the worst parents in the world?
Britain has been ranked bottom out of 21 countries in a United Nations assessment of children's well-being.

The nation's high number of single parents and step-families has contributed to the ranking.

Disaffected British youth: Unicef says youngsters are better off overall in every other industrialised country included in their report

The scathing report by the UN children's fund, Unicef, says youngsters are better off overall in every other industrialised country, including less wealthy nations such as Poland and the Czech Republic.

According to today's report, the UK lags in other areas too such as the number of children living in relative poverty, vaccination rates, and the time spent talking, or eating with a parent or parents.

It also has high rates of obesity, drunkenness, bullying, early sexual intercourse, cannabis-taking and teenage pregnancy.

Is this a result of too many years of Labour Party rule? Is you government answerable to you? It's a shame to see a once great empire cheat it's kids out of their future this way. Truly saddens me.

I have sone thing to say.

The UN should keep its nose out of things it was never intended for.

Well, actually I have more stuff to say.

The following things mentioned, are not things I consider bad.
And I'm sure I'm not alone on this.

..time spent talking, or eating with a parent or parents..
..drunkenness, early sexual intercourse, cannabis-taking..

It seems to me that kids in th UK are a whole hell of alot better off than
kids in other nations, especially the United States.

The nation's high number of single parents and step-families has contributed to the ranking.

So basically, you can't be a good parent unless you live in a
traditional abrahamic household, right..
