That's my old unit. I was stationed there for 3 years.
While we were there, many times 'terrorists' would launch rockets into the base. They were lame attacks. They were actually 'polite' terrorists.
They would say that the could cause real harm if they wanted to, but all they wanted was for their messages to be heard.
(the messages were mostly ... America leave Japan.)
I lived at Sagami Depot, which was a housing area and small post off the main Camp Zama post. I worked at Camp Zama. Out at Sagami Depot there were
many old, empty storage buildings and that is also were a lot of the fuel was stored.
..... stored in storage faciltiies riiiiiiiiiiiight next to the fence.
Easily accessable by people hoping the fence .. or by a small rocket.
