USA UFO Map | 1860-2005

Wow. I went to a site that had a KMZ file for Google Earth... allows you to see the location of all their UFO reports in a given year, or month. Well, I wondered what the map would look like if I were to enable ALL the sightings from 1860-2005... a LOT!



I guess we all knew that there are literally thousands of reports, but to see them all displayed on a map... jeez there's so many!!

I think that that map shows that, clearly, the vast majority of sightings are pure mistakes or bunk or hoaxes. If all that were true, we'd have alien ships flitting around all day.

Yea a lot of sightings are mistakes, intentional hoaxes or mistaken identity.
To paraphrase something a UFOlogist said on the History Channel one day.
He was talking about the govts response to a question about ufo's. the govt said something like this. out of 1000 ufo sightings we have id'd OVER 600 of them, so clearly there is nothing to this ufo stuff.
The UFOlogist then said this. "wait, what? 600 were id'd well what about the other 400 that werent id'd? They dont mention those
Thats like saying that out of 100 possible cures for cancer, 60 of them didnt work, well what about the other 40?. would that put us back at square 1? no, you'd continue to go after the 400 unid'd UFO's."
