I keep an eye on global infared. There in an strong Aleutian Low developing in the NE Pacific.

here are 4 rotating "lows" in the NE Pacific, one is reading 993.
National Centers for Environmental Prediction predicted frontline is a complete vortex centered at approximately 50 N 135 W.

If this were a tropical
system, when it dropped below 980 it becomes Category 1 Hurricane.
Also, monthly North Pacific Low Index
Deviation from 1000. Note only three
years 1934, 1980, and 1983 when the mean low for february was beneath 1000. Even then it was only -1.4, -0.1, -2.3. NE pacific low is currently -7
below 1000 February 2007.
Californian's will be getting "weather" for sure.
