Astronomical or other?

do shooting stars come off as blue or any other color? do they appear lower than they really are? Do they arc down then arc up and dissappear really fast? Any astronomical occurance anyone know of with this behavior? Hope everyone is doing good. it's cold here in massachusetts.

Hello Minael,

The color of the meteor is reliant on what the meteor is made of. Different compounds burn with different colors. The descent of a meteor can also change if surface drag is uneven (which sometimes happens as they burn through the atmosphere) like how a plane turns by changing the angles of its wingflaps.

No problem, Im glad to help.

However, don't get discouraged! Like you said, meteors ARE cool, and remember the important thing, you wouldn't have seen it if you weren't looking up.
