Explosion in London, page 1

A woman has received minor injuries in a "small" explosion at an office building in central London.

BBC Home Affairs correspondent Daniel Sandford said what was thought to be a letter bomb was found at the Capita building in Victoria Street, Victoria.

London Ambulance said a female employee had been taken to hospital for treatment to her injuries.

Bomb disposal experts were at the scene and Scotland Yard's anti-terrorism command was investigating.

Police have now finished an explosive search. No persons or group has come foward to claimed this attack. But this style if typical of the Animal Liberation Front who have been carrying out letter bomb and incidenary attacks for the last 20 years.

Yahoo are reporting a claim

A letter bomb which injured a woman may have been sent by animal rights extremists.

Police were called into DNA testing firm, Cellmark, at Abingdon in Oxfordshire after a small explosion.

The woman was treated at Abingdon Hospital and has now been discharged.

Officers say the name Barry Horne, a campaigner who died in 2001, was written on the back of the envelope.

The area has now been declared safe and detectives are investigating.

Nobody from the firm was available for comment following the incident.
