Lost Space Tapes

Sorry if this has been posted already. Looks like some new tapes of the first moon landing are now lost, which are supposed to be better quality than what was aired live in 1969, yet few people saw these tapes. Read the story from the Washington Post website:

My personal belief is that with technoligy thriving as it is, this could almost go either way - true or false, so I am asking others what they think. I have already formed my opinion before I posted it, and thought about it first. I just basically want to compare my feelings on this vs. what others might think about this story.

i did a search on google for "moon tapes found" and here's some of what i got:

For years 'lost' tapes recording data from the Apollo 11 Moon landing have been stored underneath the seats of Australian physics students. A recent search has uncovered them.

some sort of discrepancy regarding where they've been found though, could there be a conspiracy here? read the 2 links and compare .. 1 says Perth, Western Australia while the other says Houston.

Important historical high resolution tapes that vanish, makes me wonder what was on those videos. Hard to imagine how they could misplace them.
