Just wanted to alert some people here about a situation with online discussion forums.
I believe that a large number of online discussion forums, possibly even this one, has been tampered with by an outside source. I will state my
reasons for believing this below, and am looking for anyone else who has noticed this and has a theory about this.
I am a member of several online discussion forums, and have noticed in 2006 a large number of them have experienced the same symptoms, in the same
order, My example will be called Example.com, so that I don't needlessly drag anyone through the mud.
Example.com had a very active political discussion forum, with topics ranging from immigration to the "War on Terror". One day,(May, 2006) the site
was gone. The site was gone for a period of 24 hours. When Example.com came back online, numerous threads and posts had been deleted, and the
official explanation from the Moderators was that the server crashed and that more recent information had been lost. However, the posts and threads
that turned up missing were not in chronological order. Some threads were weeks/months old, while others were newer, the only thing the threads had
in common was the fact that they questioned certain Government agencies. After Example.com came back online, Mods were REALLY strict about what they
allowed people to post, and HEAVILY edited political threads. This could have been nothing, except that the same thing happened to 4 other forums
THAT I KNOW OF within a 3 week period.
My concern is that the servers may have "crashed" so that they could be "tapped" by an Civilian or Federal Intelligence agency. Anyone else have
any thoughts on this? Like I said, this has happened to SEVERAL sites already, and has been to routine and in to close a time span for it to be
merely chance. The first 5 sites I noticed back in May were all pro-2nd Amendment forums, and I have heard people describe the same thing happening
on other political agenda sites.
