Dan Aykroyd: We Have the O'Hare UFO Video

According to this site, Dan Aykroid has stated he has "exclusive video footage" and photographs of the UFO that was hovering over O'Hare airport.


What I want to know... is why are they keeping it! Just let us see it already!!

Well, let's face it - some people just have to make a buck on sensational items or they're just not happy.

Ackroyd is in show business. What is happening is hardly surprising. I suppose we'll have to watch the MUFON site since that's whom Ackroyd endorses.

So - apparently you are not knowledgable of Aykroid's long time interest and involvement in UFO's.

I'm always amazed that Actors/Entertainers have no other interests and totally lack brains to be real people. Uh huh - Uh huh!

Dan Akroyd is without question the 'royd' of the blackhole that Ufology has evolved into. I have seen enough of the videos he endorses and narrates to be wholy unimpressed.

If he has some tapes of Ohare, I will of COURSE want to see them, but I will be expecting little, and will probably get less.

Has it occurred to anyone that Akryod actually has no choice but to wait a year before showing those O'Hare photo's and movies because if he shows them now, he may be jeopardizing the jobs of those airport and airline employee's who have turned over their photographic material to him.

Maybe he doesn't have a choice at this point in time and has to wait a year per agreement with those employee's whom I'm assuming he will also be interviewing in his movie.

It could be that the employer's of these witnesses are allowing them to go public with their photo's and testimonies on condition that they wait a year or so till they do that -- for some reason.

I'm sure that if they were fired for "leaking" footage of an unidentified anomaly above the airport, then surely they could sue for wrongful termination.

More likely big Dan is waiting a year because thats when he is targeting his next dvd release. The dvd won't just be focused on chicago, other events will be on it. Without a doubt he wants to keep it hidden so he can charge everyone 24.99 to buy his "unreleased footage" dvd.

There isn't enough Preparation H on the planet to rid us of a roid his size.

Anyhow, if Roid really cared about disclosure he would take these supposed videos to every major newcast and showcase them that way, but I imagine that would not be nearly as profittable.

If this is true, that MUFON is sitting on this material I am truly disgusted. That would make them no better than the government truth embargo they are alegedly trying to end. What suckage.

I fear you are correct - unlikey Charlie Sheen's seemingly genuine interest in questions about 9/11 - I feel Aykroid is almost playing an SNL character when he tries to be a UFOlogist.

I too - however - look forward to any new "evidence" that may be presented.

And I am sure any even remotely interesting video will be available free via the net.

This VIDEO shows some seemingly interesting footage of UFO's by Mexican pilots, with Dan AYKROYD narrating the events. He doesn't seem to be acting like a goon.

If what i just read is true, and the footage is being held by Mr High and Mighty Actor, then we might as well give up now.

Once again, a serious investigation that was beginning to gather results has been brickwalled by one idiot out to make a buck.

By the time he 'releases' what he says is the footage, the interest will be gone in this topic and it will no longer make enough news sources for people to take notice.

It frustrates me so much.

There is no sense getting down on what you dont know for sure....
Theres a lot of time WE lost a lot of opportunity WE lost a lot of space we wasted with chit chat....speculation, and inaction.
We could have had an add in the trib the day after the news aticle....instead the duthering and stuff over the pics and hassling the best chance witness ive ever heard give testimony from a sighting...
This is no way to get to the truth because you guys aparantly cant organize or move on something without 50 pages of 90 % speculation....

I agree with you, unfortunately. I think Aykroyd had the capacity to bring a lot of people into the fold because he had what so many in the field lacked: credibility. He is also incredibly smart.

His paranormal interest, in fact, is what gave us Ghostbusters. Also, he is currently the Hollywood liaison for MUFON and very active in the UFO community.

Unfortunately, some of his claims are just so out there that it makes it impossible to take him seriously. The statements that he has made about UFOs as interdimensional devices has left me personally cold to him.

I hope that in the future he can moderate himself, but I doubt that will happen.

I would like to throw a monkey wrench into the stew of impatience here.

First off, how long was it before the actual event happened to the time of it getting a bit of attention?

How long did we have to wait for any photos to come out after the event then made it to the airwaves and started getting coverage

Now we hear that there may be a video (and in my opinion there are probably more than just the one video that exists). Yes Dan Ackroyd does represent MUFON in the publicity department, this doesn't mean tho that the video isn't going to be subjected to a lot of scrutiny and analysis before being released for the public. This is a normal procedure and anyone that has captured something interesting and sent it in for a professional analysis knows that it takes weeks/months before any summary conclusion and data results are released... All of your complaining and whining will not speed up the process one bit.

Now will someone be making a buck or two of this? I have no doubt in my mind (being formerly associated with the entertainment medium) that this wasn't something someone proposed and discussed right after they heard that it existed. The UFO community unfortunately does also revolve around the almighty Dollar/Euro and each major player attempts it's best to 'up' one better than the previous revelation (and/or show) from the competition. Does this make it right? Well that falls under a personal opinion I'm sure. There is one huge and major 'player' in the industry that has the largest collection of photos and video evidence (besides the military), and yet we have only been lucky enough to see maybe 3% of his collection in various DVD/Film/TV Shows. His name is Bob Kiviat, and for all the great evidence he has in his 'bank-vaulted' library, he's been also the source of much scrutiny and conspiracies. But again,, an example of someone thats withholding evidence and also making a buck off the lessor captures/footage he has. He's tried to make contact and purchase (or usage of) offers with me on some of my captures too (but I declined).

BTW.. I'd like to point out that regardless of his SNL background or how you may perceive him, Mr. Ackroyd is an extremely intelligent person and would more than likely astound you in a conversation.

Well said. Jobs are jobs and We all have to do them. Intellect, imagination and knowledge of any subject do Not have to corrolate with employment.

He may drag it out for dramatic effect. But hes not in it for the money. He is really big into UFO's

If you really want to blame someone, blame whoever took these photos and/or video. They could have easily released them to the public domain on the internet, but they chose instead to go for monetary gain.
