I've played the wii and i will take pressing a or b any day. The wii is a pretty good system but it is kind of hyped. It does not have that many good games on it. Or at least not the ones i like. I played it and i did not really like it that much but it has potential. That is why i bought an xbox 360 a few weeks ago. I like shooting games and playing online and that system is made for those two things.
well you are right there arent that many good games for it yet since its pretty new butits still really fun to play with, and really all i want for it is to have a swcond wii sports disc with different games and more interactivty

Wii is a noble experiment. Maybe something great to get children to do something other than just sit around. But it will get old just like any fad, I believe.

I'm not so sure about that, FPS seems to be working pretty nicely. A friend of mine got the Call of Duty game and says it's fantastic while I got Red Steel. Which I've got to say could've been executed a bit better but is still a lot of fun to play.

This sentence doesn't make any sense.
Are you saying the 360, PS3, PS2, Gamecube, etc. are all selling a combined total 0 consoles....get real.'
...
That console it so overhyped its redicluous.

[blank stare] Yes. I'm saying that those other consoles haven't sold any units at all. That's exactly what I'm saying. [/blank stare]

What I'm saying is that every future iteration of the 360, PS, and Gamecube will feature some variation of the Wiimote.

Grandpas and Grandpas are getting up off their couch to bowl or play tennis with their grandkids and that, Murcielago, is the WET DREAM of every CFO of every major console developer.

It wasn't fancy graphics that did it and it wasn't a long running franchise...it was the brilliant concept that people would rather swing their arm than flick their thumb.

Now if you want to try to say that the video game industry isn't rife with copycats...well, you're going to have even less success with that than you have been on your anti-Wii campaign.

let me tell you, murcielagos anit wii campaign has been a bust.

and to the person who said the wii was a fad. so were video games in general 20 years ago. so was skateboarding. if u want to complain about a fad, go complain about the annoying emo kids.

The wii is so cooll i always waited for a game that lest you move around and shoot at enemys rather than sat with a contoler in yer hand just pushing buttons, well now there a whooe console where every game is interactive, and for only 179.99 bargain if ya ask me. Whereas ps3 i mean whats it got that the ps2 couldnt do? not alot just some added features ya know inporved graphics and some other stuff i admit it will be gd when it comes out and im tempted but at what is it now 500.00 nicker i dont thnk so. the wii is nothing like any other console out there it summin different.

Nintendo will always be popular. After all, Next to Atari, it started this generation of gamers! It is the original gaming system and everyone loved playing Mario. I think the interactive feature is good for kids who get little to no physical activity. Maybe Wii will get some butts up off the couch.

Overhyped by the people???

Is that because it's a good system then? People love it so they say it's great!

its overhyped by so many people, thats all I'm saying...Some may like it...I'm not one of them.

There nearly as many nintendo fanboys out there as there are apple fanboys.

At least it's not the execs (ie. PS3) that have to say what a great system it is, "NO" it's the people that play and love it.

What more can I say???

Hold on, your not showing the entire picture there...

there are these people called xbox fanboys/msfanboys, and ps fanboys.

what is worse? someone who likes what they buy? or someone who complains about things other people buy?

Then simply don't buy it if you didn't like it. And then if so inclined you can politely tell other potential customers of it's strengths and weaknesses

ok let me get this strait with you im not a fanboy of any system at all i liek them all a game is a game but the wii atm doesnt appeal to me cept for twilight princess which i already have for my gamecube.
also i dont like ps3 but i think it will be like the ps2 it sucks at first then designers figure out the hard/software and it gets better the xbox 360 is ok for xbox live and fps and elder scrolls but not much else appeals to me the ps2 and gamecube get mmy vote right now cause im in my naruto faze and they are the only systems with games on them for that and im a huge soul calibur 3 fan with the bloody roar series then smash trailing

Gerbil running in place feeling.

I'm not saying it bad for kids or anything. Hell anything that will keep a child occupied, and evolves physical effort is a great device.

But will she still wan't to play that when she get older.

Do you enjoy coming home from work exhausted and trying to play

The Wiii's only place is to provide exercise to children who parent don't seem to have the time to get them to do it on there own. I don't have a problem with that. But acting like its some noble concept for all ages is ludicris.

Same concept as treadmills. Believe me, I'd love to go outside and exercise but at the moment it's a wee bit cold (pun intended).

Sure is, even if it is sad that kids won't exercise unless it's in the form of a game.

I know people of all ages who love the Revolution. So I don't think that age is a factor so much as it is just personal preference.

I've had some pretty rough days and found that playing Wii Sports is pretty nifty for blowing off some steam. And the best part is despite what most people seem to think, you really don't have to go swinging the Wiimote with a lot of effort. Just a simple flick of the wrist is all that's needed.

How long before the novely wears off. The Wiii is relatively new, what do think will happen a few months, years, down the road.

I think that as a novelty it'll wear out and become a pretty standard part of gaming. Sort of like how the analog stick used to be a novelty device but now it's required for a system to have it pretty much (assuming you count the nunchuck).

I just get this "Jaguar" feel. It was a super cool gaming system that died like a fad because it was too different.

Honestly I'm happy as long as they release the games on all the sytems. I hate when they just release for one system.
