Woman Jailed After Reporting Rape

I found this news article and thought I would post it to hear what others thought of this.

A woman who called to police to report that she was raped, was handcuffed and taken to jail for failure to pay restitution for a 2003 theft arrest.

What really caught my eye in the article is:


While she was behind bars, according to the college student's attorney, a jail worker refused to give her a second dose of the morning-after contraceptive pill because of the worker's religious convictions.


So because of this worker's religious beliefs, this woman may get pregnant by an attacker, and might have to face getting a abortion?
