This is not the case in England, where there is no such thing as a masonic funeral. UGLE believes that these matters are best left to Churches or other religous groups rather than Freemasonry.

Also, at one time the Masonic Rosicrucians (MSRICF, SRIA, etc) had a tenth grade (degree) Can't recall it's title, but will try to look it up. It was dropped and the highest grade now is IX, but it's honorary and given in the presence of other members.

I'll try to think of others as I'm sure there are more.

If you can find an old copy of "Masonic Rites and Degrees" by Ray Denslow it's FULL of information. The Missouri Lodge of Research printed it back in the 50's or 60's. Should be able to find it at a used-booksellers site.
