Israel probably violated the terms of its arms deals with Washington by using American-made cluster bombs in Lebanon last year, a US government report says.
The State Department probed Israel's use of cluster bombs in civilian areas of southern Lebanon during the 34-day conflict with Hezbollah.

US-made weapons are sold to the Israeli military with restriction on their use.

Cluster bombs can scatter hundreds of small bomblets over a wide area, and their use has been widely criticised.

The US government has now sent a preliminary report on its investigation into the matter to the US Congress.

what are the repocutions if Israel break arms deal with the US?
they already willingly sell US tec to other countries after retrofiting them and so on. so what happens if they miss use the weapons aswell?

do they get more toys?

I am confident that Israel will continue to get "toys" from the US.

Other that some harsh words from the US Government, Nothing will happen. Israel will continue to get all it wants from the US.

I wonder if the US Arms companies are that worried if Israel improves on things. I heard they enhanced the sidewinder missiles and then sold the retrofit back to the US.
