I'd choose bigfoot mainly because it would be nice meeting a distant cousin of ours. Although if it meant ruining their mode of existence, I could do without.
-Mr. Bf, would you like to be in our new Gieco ad ?

id have to vote for the chupacabra, they seem like nasty lil things! i wouldnt mind someone shooting or capturing one of them, where as i think id be really sad if Nessie or Bigfoot was killed or captured. A Megalodon would be cool tho.

I believe that many of the popular terrestial cryptoids will eventually be captured and studied. Circumstances will eventually happen where bigfoot and his/her often overlooked Hymalayan cousin, the Yeti/abominable Snowman will be discovered.
Aquatic cryptoids such as the recently seen frill shark ar a fluke discovery.
Lake dwelling cyrptoids should be sitting duck discoveries given the assistance of modern technology, however, as with Nessie, (a Scottish Tourist Board cash cow) I believe is more a creature of legend than an actual remnant of the jurassic age.

Megladon
Yeti
Sasquatch

Where did you get that information?

Megalodan- How could they tell it was him/her?

Yeti- Good for them.

Bigfoot- I am a Bigfoot skeptic. Send me the link to where you found this info, then I will believe.

Bigfoot? Why such a boring creature when we have supposedly
Jersey Devils, Sping Heeled Jacks, and Mothman. If anyone of those creatures were proven to exist i think it would have a much more profound effect than even BigFoot or the Brey Road Beast.

I agree with you!! Someone with very big feet and a lot of body hair should just go ahead and turn himself in, so all the Bigfoot fanatics can be satisfied.

I am extremely skeptical about Jersey Devils because they're just way too out there, but if one could be caught, tested and given an origin, I would be very happy!! So I'd have to say if a Jersey Devil were found, I'd be a lot less skeptical of everything else. And I'd appreciate that the most.

And in response to the topic starter, the frilled shark was found on January 21, 2007.

...thought to be extinct itself, it was only discovered in Japanese waters in the 19th century. On January 21, 2007 a specimen was found alive off the coast of Japan near the Awashima Marine Park in Shizuoka, southwest of Tokyo. The shark was captured but died shortly afterwards. Because of the rarity of alive sightings of these sharks, and their resemblance to earlier fossils, these sharks have been called "living fossils" by some.

No crypto there. It's just very endangered and very very close to extinction.

Sorry,

I may not have explained myself very well.

With the recent filming of the 'Frill Shark' , never seen alive before ( for cryptic critics, this no way implies that this is a cryptic ) Posters have mentioned other UW creatures that they would like to see next, if possible.

Someone mentioned one I hadn't thought of .. " the mongo death worm".
This is something, or at least a variation of , that I think could possible exist.

Maybe not in the extent that it has been reported, but I feel something like that could exist underground without being seen regularly.

** Tremors comes to mind ** lol

I would have to go with good ol' Sasquatch. Not so much because I want to see it discovered (although the look on the faces of all the life-long skeptics would be priceless
), but because the discovery of such a creature (which has become nothing more than a joke when mentioned aloud) would cause the public at large to reexamine it's ideas of the entire field of cryptozoology.

This train of thought is not a two way street however, because if a giant worm or shark were discovered tomorrow (as awesome as that would be) the public would collectively say, "Neat" and then go back to studying every detail sorrounding Anna Nicole. But with the discovery of Bigfoot we might actually begin to see college students who study the natural sciences begin to take a serious look at other cryptids, which could easily start a revolution in the field of cryptozoology, leading to the discovery of countless other cryptids.

Shadow People-An interdimensional being...Nuff said.
Spring Hill Jack- This guy can't be from earth.
Mothman- Possibly an ancient builder of the earth or a it may be a nephilim.

Essedarius, I kinda sorta have to admit that I think you're right. Most of the fun with cryptos is in trying to see them. Once you find them the fun is gone......

very true. Just look at all the "real" creatures, that the establishment has recorded that are simply amazing creatures.

The tarantula hawk is a large wasp that attacks a full grown tarantula, injects a paralyzing venom into it, drags it into the spiders OWN DEN, and lays a larvae in its belly, and then closes up the hole. The larvae feeds on the spider, which is still alive

THAT'S AMAZING

but since its accepted, nobody really cares.

Then there are the creatures of the deep oceans that use bioluminescence to hunt.

THAT'S AMAZING

but since its accepted, nobody really cares.

Mothman.

The events and general weirdness surrounding it are the most intriguing.
At least, to me.

MOTHMAN!!!!! i wanna see him up close i have seen something close to mothman but i never say enough detail to prove

I would have to say Bigfoot most because its the most likely to exist in my opinion and i get so aggravated when i see some skeptic saying its not possible. I dont get why people think its so far fetched when we just recently discovered mountain gorillas.
There are many accounts of Giant Apes in almost every culture worldwide. Abonimable Snowman, Mountain Yeti etc......
