Aggressive Ghosts

Firstly I am reasonbly new to this site; I would just like to ask if anyone has ever experienced an aggresive ghost, if so could share there experience.

I mean, why are people affraid of ghosts? Or why are they petrayed as evil?

I believe that the fear associated with ghosts, or anything paranormal for that matter, is the fact that they are considered "the unknown." As human beings, our natural response to the unknown is to fear it.

Many of the "ghosts" that are portrayed in movies are actually given the traits of far more sinister beings. This is just me, but the manifestation of a dead person is just a little creepy if you know absolutely nothing about ghosts (the vast majority of the people have no clue)..

I haven't really had any agressive ghosts on any of my little ventures into old buildings, grave yards, ect. I have experienced very strange things, but I don't believe it was exactly connected to a ghost, spirit..whatever.

I completely agree, the 'unknown' is what scares me the most too.

True the 'unknown' just makes the whole thing scarier,i myself have not been attacked or such by a spirit/ghost but there are many claims to attacks,mostly blamed on poltergeists.In my experience the closest i ever had a visual was a "shadow" as a lot of people have seen and there are theories as trick of eyes but i have had that ice cold feeling and scared before seeing this,i have also been held down in bed and couch but another theory 'sleep paralysis' gets a finger in the pie,but i have been afraid,very scared knowing something watching me and even too scared to just have a quick glimpse by turning my head to direction/s.

In a thread here by member invalidiuser "My House Has A Ghost" is quite interesting ,you should read his post.

There are so many people who say they have been attacked and so people who lie/mock about it that not everyone wants to believe or just don't,imo there is a spiritual world and i believe there are evil "ghosts' out there/here everywhere,but to prove it is impossible until you see it for yourself or God forbid that it happens to oneself.

So many stories/claims and some true i do believe and some pure lies,but as said by you guys "the unknown" is more mysterious.

Thanks for this reference, I read through the thread you suggested, and certainly is interesting, I guess in the time I have been interested in Paranormal it doesnt come as a surprise, its interesting children have a sixth sense about these things..... I dont know about the authenticy given a child's imagination, I mean how many ghosts take a scary apperance? Or even caught on camera?
