angryamerican : I would be honored to meet you some day. I like some
of your views and respect the way you take care of family.

Peace be with you. Remember, YOU can make a difference in other
peoples' struggles, . . .especially if you feel you should. Take care.

Sounds good to me and you are right it is obvious for the ATS crew to meet in a place like that. LOL good call.

Didn't see anyone mention this so decided to post it. In a Situation X Scenario that involved any kind of warfare involving two sides (NWO, Alien Invasion, Civil War, Nuclear War etc), wouldn't a meeting place for ATS Members be useful?

If there is a world cataclysm, and the conspiracies we've been discussing turn out to be real, I will consider this board to be have been compromised by the nwo-illuminati-neocon-commie-fascoislamobuddhists and would, to say the least, not be looking to meet up with anyone, let alone at some publically predetermined point.

I don't think we're talking about a "publicly pre-determined" meeting
place. I get the impression it'll be semi-secret, with only those interested
in hooking up with others involved.

Of course we'll have to scan your retinas, and when you receive the
map you'll be sworn to secrecy or we'll . . . .yeah, that's right.

ive thought about this before and have believed strength in numbers if its all going the same way is the way forward, there are many pros and cons , from my point of view , if a fellow ats'er needed my help i would share what i could but i would expect reciprocation in some way and in a bad situation many hands make light work, if we all are looking for the right way to live it would be easier to rebuild with more people .

maybe im too nice ???

i would definitely see an advantage to regrouping , share information and make a good desision based on fact

Wow fresh post on a 5 year old topic, ok I'll add my thoughts to the picture !

I thought of going all Kevin Costner (The Postman) and using the postal system as a meeting structure.

On the first of the week / month once the SHTF has died down, (zombies and survivers starved out / aliens moved on to next planet / poll reversal complete / ..whatever disaster takes your pleasure ) meet at the local post office, not to do anything noble like getting the letter through, but from there, we go to the next biggest post office and so on until we all meet at the central sorting office in the area, where we setup camp, use the mail to get the fire started, and fortify the place with mail carts.

Pro's:
Universal - most countries have a postal system of some sort?
Doubt looters will think ..."Hmmm, I'm starving best to loot the post office for some Envelopes and a roll of bubblerap..." so should be intact

Con's:
As you get closer and closer to the central hub, you would be entering more and more populated areas - we'd need to keep a sharp look out for roving ganges of fat zombies (would take longer to die off) and PO'd postal workers

Just a though
